Giratina debate

    I need to know something about Giratina. My friend says that it is like the devil of pokemon,but I think that it is more of a guardian of the dead pokemon. I need answers!

    Trivia: Although it can fly and learn Psychic, Electric and Ground-type moves, it is incapable of learning Ice or Fire attacks.
    When in its Origin Form, it retains its phenomenal amounts of HP, like any other Pokemon that is in their alternate forms, and it focuses on more offensive moves, and less on the defensive moves. It switches its Attack and Special Attack stats with its Another Form, making it a great powerhouse.

    Giratina is simply a lonely pokemon and protector of the Distorted/Torn World.
     
    Giratina is just another Legendary Pokemon with no role whatsoever in the universe. Almost like Heatran and Darkrai.

    Giratina probably lives alone in the other dimension just because. It's too different.

    Number two, I refer him as the PKMN in between dimensions, if you know what I mean.

    Number two: How can it be a Pokemon between dimensions if it confirmed that it lives in another dimension @~@?
     
    Giratina is a filler Pokemon.
    Nintendo woke up one day and said 'let's create ridiculous amounts of Ubers and legendaries that have no point in the story, in order to cause debate and for n00bs to run around screaming "ZOMG I HAZ A GIRATINA LULZ!!!!"'

    Anyway, yeah. It has little/no role in the Pokemon universe, much like, as said before, Heatran or dare I say, Deoxys (i personally never saw the point in Deoxys).

    It can't be a devil of a Pokemon, no Pokemon is truly evil.

    I only know that Giratina is able to control all dimensions
    besides those of time and space. That's why Dialga (time) seems
    to be more superior than Giratina in the 11th movie.
    The most that Giratina was able to do was to pull Dialga into his
    home dimension and take part of a brawl with Dialga.
    Dialga is shown to be more superior than Giratina by
    setting a continous loop of time in Giratina's dimension,
    thus trapping Giratina.

    I wouldn't start calling Giratina a "filler pokemon";
    no one has yet seen the 12th movie.

    Hey guys? Do you know what is pokemon? If you do, why the hell say it as evil or god of death? There is no such thing as an evil pokemon nor a malicious pokemon. If you wanna say that there is such thing as evil pokemon, please read kimsites.net for information on what pokemon truely means.

    Giratina is just a pokemon that lives on the mirror side of the pokemon world. it's assumed that Giratina is a highly aggressive Pokémon that is very protective of its home. It was banished for its violence. It silently gazed upon the old world from the Distortion World. In addition, giratina is the pokemon diety for manipulating all dimensions that are not time nor space (although i'm a bit skeptical of that because it cannot travel at the speed of light).

    Note: Do not use Diamond and pearl pokedex entries for giratina as a reference, it is inaccurate. During the dp era, giratina wans't even considered brothers of palkia and dialga.

    Hey Broken Promise, i'm dissapointed that you said such a thing for the pokemon franchise. Have you asked yourself what is a purpose of a legend in the pokemon world? Every single legend plays an important role in governing the pokemon world, except for heatran.

    AND PLEASE NINTENDO DOESN'T MAKE POKEMON, IT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PUBLISHING AND SELLING OR DISTRIBUTING POKEMON COMPANY'S CREATION. iT ONLY EARNS PROFITS FROM DOING SO.

    And at least, wikipedia or bulbapedia has more and accurate information than small pokemon fansites.

    If you studied physics, time and space are dimensions itself. Time is the 4th dimension while space is the 1st-3rd. Therefore, simply saying deity of dimensions will be inaccurate as giratina would be able to control time and space too. Giratina just controls dimensions that are not spacial time.

    Thanks for spoiling the movie for me. ~_~ I put it in spoilers so no one else can be spoiled.

    I see Giratina as a part of a trinity of sorts with Dialga and Palkia. Each represents a different aspect of Arceus's powers and personality. They each balance each other out and have their own strengths and weaknesses.

    Actually, there are confirmations that time is most like Dimension 0. We already know that there are more dimensions beyond the Tri-Dimensional Volume that only we can see.

    The 4th Dimension is another addition of Dimentions. Giratina lives in an all messed up world that probably is supposed to be some 4th Dimension, but is impossible to fully view because of all possibilities on how it would look.
     
    He is also one of the 3 titan pokemon of sinnoh.

    I highly doubt it's a God, though.
    I would just say it is the Guardian of the Torn Worl, and that is it :\
