Archur followed Dia with his eyes, then turned back to Snype and Caro. "I'll see if I can't catch any bird pokemon. If only flygon lived here, they're pretty tasty..." He said and went towards the thicker forest. "You know where I'm going, so don't mess with Dia, or just tell her where I am!" He called before he entered the tree line. The forest was considerably brighter during the day then at night. As he walked around on all fours, the only pokemon he noticed were bug types, caterpie and weedle as well as their evolutionary line, and not much else. He was pretty hungry and all he could think of was which native Johto dragon type would taste best, he had always had an odd craving for dragon types when he got especially hungry. Archur walked deeper into the forest and came to a rocky out cropping. In front of it where a few Typhlosion, Cyndaquil and Quilava. None of them would ever be able to eat a full Typhlosion, but he was pretty sure even Dia would be able to eat a quilava if she was hungry enough. His first thoguht was to charge in, hydropump a'firin due to his type advantage, but the tactical portion of his mind made him stop. He ran to the other side of the rocks and swiftly knocked down a few of the larger trees, making a lot of noise. All the fire types looked in that direction. One Typhlosion was left with the smaller pokemon while the others investigated, but she was looking away too. Archur snuck up as quietly as possible and grabbed two quilava in each hand, covering their heads so they couldn't make noise. He slunk back into the forest. When he was far enough away, he looked up tot he sky, begged Arceus for forgiveness, and broke the neck of each pokemon, killing them instantly. He took the bodies back to the pokemon and set them down neatly. "I've got our meat. It was a very... Disturbing... Thing to do, but I've got meat."

(I keep starting all the pages XD)

Dia finished her fish in peace and shoved the bones and scales away with a satisfied meow. She looked up and noticed Archur was gone and she gave a soft meow. Soon he returned with two Quilava. They were already dead. She walked over to the group and sniffed them.
"Um... I'm not sure I can eat one of those. They are bigger than I am. And meat doesn't exactly stay fresh. Besides, I'm good at hunting..." Dia said. She really was. She flicked her tail irritatedly and whinced in pain at the broken bone in it. Just because she was worthless and stupid didn't mean she couldn't feed herself. They seemed to think that just because she was scared of, well, everything that she couldn't take care of herself. Her annoyance faded and was replaced by guilt. They were only trying to help, and with good reason. She had practically been on her death bed when she got here. She was still a total trainwreck, wvwn after a few good meals and some rest. Oh well, as long as they didn't ask her to carry those things. Not that she wouldn't try, but she knew she wouldn't get very far.

(OOC: OMG! Dia actually does have more emotions than fear and guilt and sadness!)

Snype stomach turned when he heard the Quilava get killed by Archur. As much as he didn't like it, it was their only way to survive. No humans were going to feed them... Snype felt bad for both of the Quilavas though. Good wasn't Carnivorous. He wasn't very fond of eating meat. Berries or rocks suited his needs. He looked down at both Quilava in horror.

"...erm... I'm full. I'm sure you guys are more hungry anyways." Snype said nervously. "...though... I guess we shouldn't put this to waste... I suppose I could try it... I'm not really much for eatting meat though."

"You know, I can freeze 'em and that will preserve them, it won't go bad if they're frozen. Archur gave the bodies each a good ice beam, freezing them each in a thick block of ice. "Besides, this is more for me and Dia, since I'm sure there will be plenty of rocks along the way for you to eat. I'm to big to just eat berries. And please, stop looking at me like I enjoyed killing them. Circle of life and survival. If you're smart or big, then you're the one who eats. If you're too small, then you get eaten. Of course the smaller pokemon are in their own area of the food chain, but I'm going to keep all of us close to the top. There are vert few pokemon that would dare try and eat a swampert, and my move set is broad enough I can K.O. pretty much any attacker."

"I'd like to see someone try and eat me," Dia said quietly after Archur was done talking. She had been looking at Snype, trying to figure out what his deal was. Some pokemon lived and some died. That was the way it worked. As long as you tried your best, it didn't matter if you died. That was what she believed. Oh well, she held her tail against the frozen Quilava, and let the coldness numb the pain in it. Once she was done, she sat down and waited for them to head off.
"Erm... I'm ready when you guys want to go..." she said quietly.

(OOC: This is one of her rare moments of sanity. You may actually get to see her personality a little bit better before something triggers her fear. Just letting you guys know. Amd remember that she is still a kitten. :3)

Snype shrugged. "Hey I understand. For me though I usually stole food when I was gong about traveling. Hunting was never my strongsuit. I don't got the stomach for it. Some of these Berries I got packed were either stolen or picked off of trees. Sometimes I just stole food from restaurants. Kehehe... Guess you can say I'm kind of a sucker for Mischief!" Snype said with a playful snicker.

Caro watched in terror as Archur killed a Quivala. "You... You really aren't thinking of eating those are you?" The thought of eating other Pokemon made Caro sick. " And please, stop looking at me like I enjoyed killing them. Circle of life and survival." Archur said as he saw Caro staring at him with the most Disgusted look on his face. I think I'll just stick to seeds and crystals Caro thought. The topic of were to go next came up and every on seemed to agree with going to Mt.Silver. "The reason Mt.Silver isn't populated is because the most strongest and meanest Pokemon make there homes there. Mt.Silver is quite a ways from here too." Caro said not exactly happy about going to Mt.Silver, but he didn't have any better ideas.

Caro had a valid point. "Well, we could go to the whirl islands. Those have never actually been populated by more than the average trainer in our time. It was one of my first stop here. No pokemon were too strong for me there, and you guys could each take out as many pokemon as necessary if they actually approached us." Archur now was actually a little worried about Mt. Silver. He had heard of the pokemon that live there. Dia seemed pretty mentally solid at the moment, that sort of comforted Archur. "I'm sure that I'll be able to learn whirlpool at some point on the way there. It took me two days to get from there to here in our time period, so it shouldn't be too much different now.

Dia ignored them again. They were talking about where to go. She really didn't care. She had nothing better to do. She walked away, trying to smell some berries. She then walked over to a tree and began sharpening her claws on the bark, shredding the tree. She needed to keep them able to slice things somehow. Once she was satisfied, she walked back to the group. She yawmed, realising she hadn't slept in a few days. She blinked tiredly. Well, they didn't seem to be going anywhere. And when they finally did decide where to go, they would wake her up. She lay down and curled up into a little ball and fell asleep.

Snype thought about his choice. Mt silver was known for having strong pokemon... all the better for humans to stay away. however, pokemon in the past tended to be extremely vicious sometimes. ¨Good point... well its an option. Whirl islands sounds preety good. Whirlpools will keep people away and we'll last well by ourselves. Theres even a few caves so maybe Caro and I can find something to munch on." Snype said "To be honest though, I've never been to whirl islands. Never knew a Pokemon that could get through those currents. This is gonna be completely new to me!"

"Well, I guess it's decided, we'll head to the whirl islands. We'll need to stop somewhere so that can learn whirlpool," Archur stated. He felt like the leader of the group, something he wasn't used to, but deiced he could handle easily. He froze the quilava again; one was already so melted that a paw was sticking out of the ice. "I'm ready when you guys are," Archur noticed that Dia was asleep. That was good, even if she had night mares, she was sleeping and getting some deserved rest. He sat down next to her, letting his body provide shade from the noon time sun.

"Really? You really think so? Well, I just wanted to let you know she evolved. You can come pick her up anytime. You will have my fee ready, of course. I have plenty of people that would love to buy a female umbreon kit. Of course. Especially with the moves I've bred into her. Yes. Yes. You'll be here in an hour? Good. Of course. I understand. Thank you," Matt said. He hung up the phone. He pushed his glasses back on his nose and smiled at the umbreon that was asleep in his lap. This was the hardest part, giving up the pokemon. Especially the ones he raised and evolved with happiness, like Dia here. But, ultimately, he had to eat. So, he would let her go. She looked up at him with love and admiration in her eyes. This one would definately be the hardest one he sold. Ultimately, he always thought that about every pokemon he sold. This new client, Kevin Shed, he was an old friend. When he had called Matt a few weeks ago and made his request, Matt had almost refused. Matt was a cruel man. But, the sum of money he had offered Matt was too great to ignore. He knew the life he would be sending poor Dia into.
"Nothing personal there girl, but I have to eat too," Matt said sadly. Dia didn't understand the words, but she knew the tone. Her ears perked up and she nuzzled Matt lovingly. That made him feel worse for what he was going to do. But he smiled at her and rubbed her head jjust behind her ears, the way he knew she liked. Her eyes lit up and she meowed happily. He smiled down at her.
"I've got something for you Dia!" he said. Her ears perked up again at the sound of her name. He placed her on the floor and walked into his room. She padded silently after him. He opened a drawer on his desk and pulled out a yellow ribbon. It was the exact same color as Dia's rings. He tied it around her neck, and she pawwed happily at it. He smiled down at her as he waited for his associate to arrive. His heart was breaking. Dia was a sweetheart. While she was very timid, once she got to know someone, she was very friendly. Even to the point of being attached and dependent on that person for her entire happiness and well being. This was going to destroy her. But what choice did he have? If he didn't sell her, he wouldn't be able to pay his rent or eat. He had to have this money! There was no other choice!

All too soon, there came a knock at thee door. He opened it and his associate stood in the doorway. He walked in and set his bag down.
"Where is she?" Kevin asked. Matt led him into the living room of his apartment. Dia was sleeping in her basket peacefully, but when she heard the two men enter the room she looked up. Her gaze went from a loving one she put on Matt to a timid one that was resting on Kevin. That seemed to please him.
"She's acceptable. I'll need to train her up some, but you've done the hard part. Here's your fee," Kevin said as he handed Matt a wad of bills. He stood up and walked over to Dia. He bent down and roughly picked her up. She hissed at the sudden contact and swiped her claws at his arm.
"Little b****!" Kevin said angrily as he dropped her. He back handed her in the head and picked her up roughly by the neck. She yowled in pain and terror and looked at Matt. Matt was standing there watching the whole scene. She meowed urgently at him as Kevin hit her in the head. She grew silent when he began twisting one leg until the paw was almost turned completely backwards, which was when she began screaming in pain. Kevin smirk and twisted it some more and there was a very loud pop. He let go of the leg and it just hung there limply, still turned around backwards.
Now, you listen here Twilight. I am your master now. You do as I say, or I will do this," Kevin said as he pulled on her broken leg. She yowled in pain.
"Or this," he said as he snapped her other front leg like a twig, causing her to cry out again. She didn't know his words, but she was trying to figure out how to make him stop hurting her. She decided to do everything he said to keep him from hurting her again.
"Shadow Ball on him," Kevin said, pointing her at Matt. Matt had figured he would do this. She looked pleadingly at him. She knew an attack order when she heard one. But Matt! Why wasn't he doing anything!? Why was he just standing there?! Why wouldn't he help her!? She screamed in pain as Kevin broke her leg again.
"Shadow Ball!" Kevin said and this time she obeyed. Anything to get the pain to stop! Matt was hit in the chest and fell to the ground. Matt slowly got to his feet as Kevin returned Dia.
"Kevin. I want you never to come back here. Never ask me to do that again," Matt said as he shook.
"Don't worry. I don't want to order from you again. I know how attached you get to these things. But you were the only one the could fulfill my exact specifications. You're the best there is. Goodbye Matt," Kevin said. He tucked her pokeball into his belt and left.

Dia's dreams then filled with all the good times she had spent with MAtt, but the were twisted, corrupted. She was tainted, everything was horrible. Her dreams faded, leaving Kevin's cruel face the only thing visible. They were soon replaced with more dreams she was familiar with. Dreams of pain, of fear. And she was trapped in them. Soon, she came into a very familiar dream. She was fighting Darkblaze again. Right at the part she killed him, she woke up.

"NOOO!!!!!" She shouted as she jumped to her feet. She looked around wildly. She was still on the beach. Archur was sitting next to her. What the... She sat down and started shaking. That was a terrible dream. It was so vivid! Like the rest of her dreams. She even had the taste of blood in her mouth. Wait, that wasn't Darkblaze's blood. That was her blood. She had bit her tongue somewhere during her dream. It hurt a lot. He paw twinged. She looked down at it. It was still kind of crooked from the first break when she had met Kevin. She was sobbing and shaking. That was a terrible thing for her to relive. Almost as bad as when she had killed Darkblaze. And worse in some ways. She lay down again and cried profusely, shaking the whole time.

(OOC: And so the plot thickens.)

"Yeah, Whirl islands is alot closer too. I think where we are, We're pretty close to where Olivine would be. We just need to avoid that arena place... I'm ready." Snype said. He rubbed his working eye and edged his fingers to his broken one a little. Touching it left him with a small sting but sometimes he couldn't help it. He felt he would be better off without it... but it at least gave him a distinct look to others.

"Well, I guess we'd better get going then," Archur said, and Dia jumped up from her sleep, a terrified look on her face. She looked around, taking in her location, and laid down to cry. "Dia?" Archur turned to face the Umbreon. "A nightmare? Come on Dia, nightmares are just bad thoughts or memories. If it's happened then, well it's happened. There is nothing we can do about it," Archur knew his words weren't exactly comforting, but he wasn't lieing either. He picked Dia up, and held her as someone would a human child, "We'll be leaving soon, will you be okay?"

Dia didn't exactly feel comforted by his words. If it was simply memories why couldn;t they stay memories? Why did they torment her every chance they got? She was soon picked up and held. She lost what compusure she had managed to reclaim and broke down into deep sobs. Archur then asked if she was ok. What kind of stupid question was that? Of course she wasn't ok! She cried until she couldn't cry anymore. Then she began to think about her memory. It was the first time she had done so. Now that she understaood human words a little, maybe she could figure out a little bit more.
"I... I don't believe it! Matt... He never cared about me! I... I was just some... Some thing for him to sell! I... I hate him... I hate all of them," she mumbled to herself. Her eys flashed dangerously. They better not find any humans. Dia knew she couldn't control herself if they did. She grew scared of her own feeling on this matter too. She didn't like hated. It hurt too much, for you have to care for something before you can hate it.

Obviously she wasn't okay. She broke down crying even more, Archur just held her until she stopped. She started muttering something about the humans, he thought he caught the name of the one she had originally liked. "You can't say you hate all humans because you don't know all humans. I thought I had hated that one trainer, but I found that I couldn't if he was kind to his pokemon," Archur really didn't have anything else to say. He stood up, putting Dia in one arm and picked up the frozen quilava, which were now stacked on top of each other, in the other. Ice beam ice isn't too dense, so including the wight of the quilava, the weighed maybe thirty pounds, and that was easy enough to carry in one arm. He set off the opposite direction Snype had said Mt. Silver was, followed by the two sableye.

Snype realized they were around the beach, he kinda figured that Whirl islands would be across the ocean. Though he didn't see any islands in the distance. It tended to look more stormy in the distance where whirl islands where so they weren't at the short of where Olivine was. If anything though, they may have been close. He began to lead the group to their location.

"We're gonna have to go to where the shores of Olivine were at. Which means we might have to get close to the supernatural arena. If any humans spot us I got a plan of escape." Snype said.

"You do know that your cloaks won't exactly work for me or Dia. You just look like a human infant, and no one will believe that such a small human has two pokemon with them, especially not in this world. And your cloaks won't work for me or Dia either. It's hard to hide a tail and my head fins. We'll just take the long way around the arena, by the way, how did you know it was there?" Archur said without putting down the ice blocks. He kept on towards where the closest bit of land to the islands was.

It was many hours of walking later when they reached the arena. After walking for so long, he was pretty hungry, and seeing how no one else was probably going to eat one, he smashed the ice of the smaller quilava and swallowed it whole, it made an audible *plunk* sound as it hit Archurs stomach. He refrozen the other one again for later and sat down against a rock, rubbing his belly. "So, now that we're here, I need to figure out a way to learn whirlpool. The humans most likely don't have the technology for TM's here, so does anyone have any ideas?"

"Um... Dive in and hope you don't drown? Sorry... I'm not very smart with these kinds of things," Dia said. She realised how incredibly stupid that had sounded. She shook her head. What a dumb thing to say! She got to her feet and stretched out. She had been occupied with crying her eyes out so much today that Archur had not been able to put her down. But, she was feeling better. The shock of Matt's betrayel had fallen to a simple hole in her heart. Much like the one from killing Darkblaze or hurting Archur. At least she knew exactly what she was now. She was just some piece of merchandise to be bought and sold by the humans. Then her thoughts turned to another part of that memory. She knew Kevin's last name now. Surely, there was an ancestor of his here. Wasn't Snype worried about them changing things? Well, no one could complain if she just killed one human... No, she shouldn't think like that. She didn't want to hurt anyone. But, if she killed Kevin before he was even born, then he wouldn't be able to hurt her. But then again, how was she going to find him? Well, she decided that she wouldn't worry about it, but if she ever got the chance, she was going to take it. Feeling a little better, she returned to Archur's side and lay down.

Snype turned to Archur. "Well... of course they won't fall for it if I'm traveling with you guys. That's why if any humans do end up finding us, you'll all go into hiding and I can distract them long enough for you all to make a getaway. Besides, It's cold. This cloak here keeps me very warm." Snype explained.

As they took the long way around to the shores, Snype went on to explain how he knew of the arena. "The arena around there is mostly ment for Dark types, Ghost types, Or Psychics. I've seen alot of stuff around here and those humans have mentioned it several times. I couldn't help but see it for myself. Around that time I was optimistic that I was really in the past. After seeing the arena, I knew it wasn't a joke. Though I never got close enough to see what they do in there though..." Snype said.

"Hmm... well, I can't really say for sure how we're going to teach you how to get through those whirlpools. I'd say learn from experience but I doubt that'll be "healthy" for the rest of us."
