Global Warming - Is it the end?

the increased heat will melt the ice at the polar ice caps, then that freshwater will mix with the saltwater of the ocean, and the mixed water will effect the salinity of the ocean water in a way that stops the flow of warm water to the arctic circle and the flow of cool water to the equator. Then, the screwed up currents will contribute to a cooling period ( salt water's density is different from freashwater, causing the problem)

Then, once all the Ice is on the ground, it will reflect sunlight/UV radiation back into space, thus keeping the planet cool.
Yeah, that's exactly what I meant. I just can't remember the exact wording from a geography video I watched three years ago.
ahh.. so it does COOL the earth.. stupid name... it should be global freezing.. although it does heat it up.. but in the end whoever survives the heat will die from the cold.. sooo
Not really, it's still warming. It's just that the warming eventually becomes an Ice Age, which makes no sense until you think about it or something.

Yep, same here i couldnt for the life of me remember what it was called, so i flipped on some national geographic. XD

warming cooling whatever.. we all die because of human's ignorance

Well, to be honest, its already quite late to fix the damage, we can still try to stop it tho.

I never understand why people don't specify between global warming and man-made global warming.

Obviously, global warming is real and has been going on for millions of years. It's an entirely natural process. Man-made global warming is far from confirmed science, otherwise there would be little debate amongst the scientific and political community. It's not crazy to think so either, since the majority of people aren't bought into the fact that human energy consumption is having a noticeable effect on our climate. Funny how the issue itself has lost steam in the media now that most people are aware of the facts. Makes you wonder if the whole issue was a political one to begin with...hmm? ;D
Exactly. did you know that 90% of Global Warming is caused by water vapor? Then we have methane, which is a rough 5%. We can't help it because cows produce it, and we're not going to go around the world and kill all the cows :P
Then 5% is us humans causing it. Of course, it adds up, but generally it barely contributes to the effect of Methane and water vapor.

And that 90% of water vapor mainly comes from where? Us. Why is the cow population so high? Us. So it adds up more, and more. A lot more than 5% at least. More like 50%.

What?
We didn't create water o.O
Although the cow part is rather our fault.
But the water vapor will always be there no matter what.
Yea, but thanks to the power plants, the heat we create, more than triples the amount of normal water vapor. My dad is a Powerplant manager.

Just to clarify, climate change is the reason for global warming.

We're contributing to climate change which is causing global warming. Basically, we're only causing global warming indirectly. Kinda makes me feel better LOL j/k.

Sorry for the italics.

lol XD

But still, whether directly or indirectly we're one of the main causes :/

Nooo. We made the cause, which sped up the Natural rate which in fact means we have had a large cause in Global Warming.
