3rd Gen Golbat in LF

    Alright this is very weird, I use my Golbat in alot of battles and now it's level 36. Every time I level with it it says

    " GOLBAT IS EVOLVING AND THEN when it starts like transforming or w/e it stops and the text box says

    "???"

    and it stops

    how come?!
     
    I'm not, it has happened twice that the Golbat evolves and it doesn't.. o_o

    now it says ....?


    PLZ help!!!!!!!!

    The only other thing I can think of is that Golbat is holding an Everstone, but that's not likely since it wouldn't even show the evolution screen.
     
    This is what happens:

    I own a Leaf Green Version, I've caught a Zubat the Moon Tunnel Place thingy cave in Pewter City - Near..

    And it evolved into a Goldbat, and now it keeps (((trying))) to evolve every level since level 35. When it gets onto the Evolution screen, I don't even touch it, and it just goes about a third of the evolution screen and it stops evolving and says:

    "....?"
    or
    "???"
     
    Nope. Golbat cannot evolve in FRLG without the National Dex. You have to have the National Dex first.
    Because Crobat is only introduced in the second generation.

    Edit: LF? Golbat isn't in Little Fighter :P Did you mean Fr/Lg?

    So, to get the National Dex, beat the Pokémon League. Then, if you have caught at least 60 pokémon (for your pokédex), Prof. Oak will give you it and your Golbat will be able to evolve. If you haven't, you can always talk to him in his Lab annd he will give you it after catching 60 pokémon.
     
    The best way to keep your Golbat happy is to groom it at Gary's house, and his mom can check its happiness for you. If its at maximum happiness she should say "It can't possible love you anymore."
