4th Gen Gold? Or Soul?

    I've been wondering about the name of the boy character...Is it still Gold?

    Because some people have been telling me that it is Soul...I thought the girl's name was Soul...or Heart.

    Any feedback?
     
    The name of the boy is still gold, your rivals name is silver, and the heroines name is crystal ( i noty sure about this one).

    That is a misconception that people are getting because the trainer card says "Soul" when playing the male character and Professor Elm calls him "Soul" in one of the screenshots.

    The reason that the trainer card says "Soul" and in one caption Professor Elm refers to "Gold" as "Soul" is because the game that is being played is SoulSilver. Every in-game screen shot they have taken has had the name of the game in some form as the character name. It has no bearing over the character's actual name :)
     
    Male Character -> Hiro -> Gold
    Rival -> ??? -> Silver
    Female Character -> Krys -> Crystal in 2nd Gen and Soul in 4th Gen.
     
    I don't think of these as Gold, Soul, Silver, etc. I think of these as completely new characters for the 4th gen. Gold doesn't look fully like Gold, Soul is completely new (she was Crystal before) and Silver .... well ....... (trying not to get infracted like the last two times I said something about Silver)
     
    Soul is just a fan name given to her because she has no official name yet--don't treat it as if it were canon.
    I personally prefer to call her Heart until we get confirmation on her name. Since your counterpart will be part of the continuity, we can expect to have official names for both. Until then I consider Gold to be Gold and new girl to be Heart...or Hana, but that's only in the inner recesses of my head so I stop getting flashbacks to Captain Planet.

    I guess the girls called Soul because of Heart is evil xD and Soul is relaxing.
     
    Yeah, as said before, he is accepted as being known as Gold, and that'll stay that way, methinks. Same for the Rival (Silver), and the Girl is... kinda up in the air. People are calling her Soul atm, but...

    Anyways - for discussing her name there IS this thread on here - use that. The other two names are already discussed - hence, thread is closed.
