@ekriptor: why dont you just use onix and scyther till you get to ecruteak, and get metal coats from wild magnemites (they've 5% chance to hold one, you can combine finding ~40 magnemites with training against all those raticates and miltanks and so you dont have to trade to get the metal coats, you get them on your own) and then trading should be allowed, it won't be much different from trading a kadabra/graveler/etc so it evolves and trading it back

New update. Just got finished with the Elite 4 on Platinum, so I'm going to try to work on this full time.

Just got into Goldenrod, and after a bit of lvling, faced Whitney.

After going back and forth to grab the squirtbottle, I went to Ecruteak City and leveled some more. And my update is done.

Oh talked to Bill, went back into Goldenrod and grabbed Eevee. I'll evolve it to Vaporeon on the next update.

MONOTYPE CHALLENGE - POISON

Started off with a Totodile but quickly caught a Zubat.

Gastly was next to be caught (night time)

Was okay in Bellsprout Tower, Zubat can't do much at the moment so it was mainly Gastly

Went to the Flying Type Gym, was very tricky but I sent them to sleep with Gastly and used Bellsprout and Zubat to take them down. I used a lot of potions, spending all my money. First Gym complete!

vsed enamy and won
went back to elm and named my enamy Kennx(i acadentally put an x insted of y silly me)

caught a Poliway named Water God
made it to violet city
decided to challenge the gym
went into the gym vsed the leader and won
Got egg from aide but dont need it so put it in PC
Went in sprout tower to get HM Flash

-Received Cyndaquil from Pro Elm
-Named Rival Kenny
-Caught Growlithe on Route 36
-Kicked Flankers ass
-Received Egg from Elm's Assistant
-Cyndaquil evolved into Quilava
-SMASHED Bugsy and Kenny
-Got Cut and taught it to Quilava
-Hatched a Magby from the Odd Egg after a billion SR

Right, i got alot done in 2 days, thanks to the speed-up option on the emulator... I started yesterday, and today i'm in the Rocket Hideout in Mahogany..! Lol. In the route before Goldenrod, I caught a ditto, and bred my Quilava with it for 2 eggs. As I've said i'm alot further now, so here's my current team-

Quilava lv 20. I also have 2 HM slaves- Hoothoot lv 15, and Poliwag lv 4.

I don't think it was specified that we couldn't use double speed to get it done, but it's not a race so i assumed it didn't matter...

went to see mummy b4 heading to violet and mummy is saving me money
after vsing some trainers i finally made it to violet city
went to vs falkiner i vsed him and beat him
got egg from aide in pokemon centre but put it in my pc cuz it aint a water type
went to catch a water pokemon b4 getting HM flash
caought Krabby and named it Mrs.Krabs (would of named t mr.krabs if it was a male) at cherry grove city and went back to sprout tower
vsed all the bellsprout trainer beat them all and got HM Flash
