4th Gen Good age to start? I NEED YOUR HELP

I started playing when I was around 4-5ish. I used to watch my Uncle play when I as younger though.

If he can read then he'll be fine.
/Not that I could read when I started and learned Pokemon from looks and attacks by their animations.

Both my Cousins have one of the Pokemon games (or at least my younger cousin), and she's either five or six. Seven is definitely a good age to start playing Pokemon, as I started when I turned the age of eight. XD;

This man speaks the truth. I also started at that age with red. It really helped my reading too. So seven is just fine. I quoted him because he's my friend. :P
 
it's very good to learn english, but the only thing is he will have most likely trouble to rember what is super effective and what's not, so yea he can play but he will have trouble with battles online
 
well i dont think age really matter, but i think youll have to help him a little, in no time he will know what to do, =P
 
I think all of the above covers it. As everone else said, he'll be fine - at worst might need some minor advice but that's it I'd imagine. But it's more 'obvious' in what you have to do than with GSC (farfetch'd puzzle may give him some trouble for instance but generally one gets told whereabouts one should go next and so forth).
