Google Chrome v40 and buggy CSS3?

For what it's worth, over the past few weeks or so, I have not been able to view CSS3 animations properly on my desktop's installation of Google Chrome. Is there anybody here who has noticed the same thing, or it just me? My desktop runs Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

CSS3 animations work fine on my laptop running Windows 8.1, and it also has Google Chrome.

    Here's a page to test out: https://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=35

If TWL's forum splash wipes when you use the arrow navigation, then it works properly. Else, I could post screenshots (or even take a video) of what I see.

Animation is working just fine for me on Chrome v40 for Mac and v40 running on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 so it may just be you though it's too early to say that for sure. I can't think of anything off hand that would disable those animations but if I can, I'll let you know.

It is quite a widespread problem though, based on this link right here. Some have confirmed that they're normal in Chrome on Windows 7 x64, but I'd say it's something they're looking at because that's quite a lot of reports.

Hmm... fair enough. I didn't actually check for existing reports - just a quick check to see if it worked for me. There doesn't appear to be anything in settings that could affect the use of CSS animations. What extensions do you have installed? Are you running any that modify page content in any way (e.g. AdBlock)? That's the only thing I can think of - that maybe an extension is not playing nice with v40 though again, I only skimmed the reports so this may already be covered.

I'm using Chrome 40.0.2214.111 x64, and it seems to be working properly for me. I presume you've tried disabling all extensions and cleared the cache?
I went as far as deleting all traces of Chrome, then re-installing. Even after all of that, it still went on.

It has to be a bug of sorts with some GPUs. Many are reporting that it has to do with the GPU process in Chrome, and I hope that it's fixed in the next version.

Well, you've certainly been thorough. Sounds like you may be right but I imagine, if that's the case, it shouldn't be a long-standing bug.
