Well not a large portion of the IM world use it and it's only a beta so give it a break.

You can't. This is pretty much a beta, like Gmail itself, and doesn't have many features. Anyway, here's the official word on it:

Well, Gmail may not be in beta for much longer becaue if you have a mobile phone, you can sign up for Gmail now.

Get one by Plantronics or Cyber Acoustics. I use a Platronics headset for my XBox, and my PC headset is by CA, and they're both crystal clear.

Mac has iChat A\V (I beleive that's the name), which happens to be better from what I found when I played around with it.
