hey, my name is alaskan husky. ^^; some may know me by other names, namely thursday or tempest or slowdive or ero, even, as those are names i go by on other forums. any of those are ok for you to call me, along with alaskan husky or some variation of that (i'd really prefer not to be called alaskan, though, but if you wish, go ahead). i make long intros and this is no exception.
anyways some about me. i'm very shy irl, almost to the point to which my heart begins to race if i so much as speak in public. this could be attributed to an inferiority complex i've developed over time, where i think my opinions, thoughts, input, etc. are worth far less than others'. i also really fear rejection, as well; it's up there on the list, right in between suffocation and spiders. which is why i hate speaking in public, because i always think that people will just tell me i'm full of crap. but i digress.
anyways, i have two jobs: i am a full-time procrastinator and a part-time insomniac. ugh, i'll explain the working conditions of my jobs later. too tired. well i guess i could give you a short version. i guess i work in a small room, where i sit and eat food, listen to music, and panic about my summer work. fun.
a pet peeve of mine is when people chew with their mouths open. i find this gross for two reasons: one, my eyes become transfixed on a person's face, and i will tell you right now: the quickest way to lose your appetite is to watch someone chew their food with their mouth open. absolutely. the second is just... the noise. It's appalling to me, and I try to avoid situations where I have to eat with people who do this... though I know some people don't have a problem with it, it really does bother me.
i am the biggest grammar nazi bait you will ever find, yet i've never seriously been picked on for my (lack of) grammar. i just feel that as long as the message is coherent, then the grammar of a sentence or two needn't come into question. just my opinion though. i also mentally correct the sentences of people (especially grammar nazis -- believe it or not some do make mistakes and it's quite fun to correct them for lols :D), which i guess is stupid but whatever. i know how to type correctly, but for the most part, i just don't. i'm lazy and i guess i don't have an excuse for it... but that's just how i type.
I primarily listen to rock/metal music, though occasionally I listen to rap/pop/drone, but that's on rare occasions. I won't get into what my favorite bands are, but I do like a lot of music, ranging from indie rock to metal, so obviously, I'm willing to give anything a shot. :3 I don't play any instruments, but I would like to play the guitar/piano. However, I'm not really instrument material; I'm just not committed enough to anything to be able to do it well.
My favorite color is green. Least favorite is orange. It makes me feel physically sick to look at.
I don't have any hobbies besides playing Pokemon. Well, if you count drawing terribly and making paper airplanes, then I have two hobbies. I'm not bad at Pokemon, I must admit. I hate to brag, but I'm not that bad, and even though my old team is shattered, I could probably make a new one easily. If anyone wants to play me then, I'd be okay with it. ;)
Well, anyways, I've played Pokemon since I was about four. Maybe five. My first video game was Pokemon Blue. Got to Silph Co. before the game glitched somehow and I couldn't get any farther. :/ Though in hindsight, it was likely me being an idiot that didn't allow me to progress further. I'd state what happened, but my memory when it comes to these things is terrible at best, and the game's lost anyways, so no use complaining over it.
When R/S/E came out, I was livid. I realized that I would no longer be able to trade over my old Pokemon from G/S/C, and I basically like... flipped out. When I got the games, I fell in love with them. They were just.. genius! While I may not like some Pokemon from the games, I always thought that overall, Hoenn was the best region. I am prepared to die a horrible, bloody death for not saying Johto. Johto is my second-favorite region, however, if it makes anyone feel any better. =P
My favorite Pokemon are Tyranitar, Espeon, Suicune, Probopass, and Gyarados. Just to give five. I'm quite fond of all of them, well, barring Gochiruzeru. -.- I don't think I'll ever get over it. I actually LIKE Gigaiasu now, but I just can't bring myself to like Gochiruzeru. :/
So yeah, that's pretty much it. I'm a lurker, though I do browse the forums I frequent on a bi-daily basis (is there a word for once every two days? I don't think there is), so if anyone wants to talk, I'll be around. ^^; Anyways, take care and have a nice day! Sorry for the long intro, too, lol. I have a habit of making them.
