Gps problem

    I am using pokemon go on ipad just with wifi but have a problem with the gps. I launch the app and everything is fine for about 40 secs to a min. Then I fet a banner come up saying no gps can be found.

    I have searched and found some solutions tried them all. Reset networks, have location on and also allowed for the app. Gps works fine on google maps etc but not too good with pokemon go. Anyone have some suggestions please and help all would be much appreciated thNk you.

    Be patient, it's probably server lag, game isn't finished yet and servers are overpopulated, some days you will play without a problem and some days you woun't be able to enter a game
     
    My new phone has gps issues and it's great, I can hatch so many eggs by just sitting still
     
    Well I have been trying for hours since yesterday still no gps I don't understand that as I can get gps to operate other apps with no problem at all on ipad and my Android phone. But Pokemon is a totally dead nail sorry to say, will not work. Probably uninstall it if it doesn't work.

    Did you just started playing or you played before and all of a sudden your gps is not working?
     
    I installed it 2 days ago still the same everytime I launch it works for about 30 secs then gps can be found banner comes up, yet the gps symbol is still there on the top bar, but no joy with the game.

    Most likely game problem, if everything is fine from your point of view then something is probably wrong with server.
     
    I dont think it is designed to work on an ipad with wifi connection. I cannot get it on my phone it is not compatible Android 4.3 and it will not update software.
     
    It works fine on my ipad. Did you recently Jailbreak? I know that sometimes the jailbreaks will mess with locatioin services so installing liblocation(locationlib?) will fix the problem right up most times. You can also check your location preferences to make sure you're using the most accurate location you can.

    Also do other 3rd party apps work like google maps?

    Ok silly question what is Jailbreak? Location Services is on also pokemon is allowed. On system all have green dots to allow. My location services say it uses bluetooth and crowd wifi hotspots. I have my wifi connected as this is. Wifi only ipad. Googgle maps etc work.

    Definition: iOS jailbreaking is the process of removing software restrictions imposed by iOS, Apple Inc's operating system, on its devices including the iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and second-generation Apple TV.

    Basically lets you install what you want without Apple stopping you from doing so as the're quite strict in general about what you can and can't install. This can cause some apps to not function properly but it's hard to say that this would be causing your issues. Is your phone's clock properly synced with real time? The game gets very buggy when your phone thinks it's at a different time to Niantic's servers.
     
    My ipad is correct time to gmt London. i downloaded pokemon from the app store.
