Since the PC was getting moved to a new server, I've been testing out a new team on Shoddy that has been doing ok. Its current record is 12-4. Rate away, as it does need quite a bit of work.

    Metagross@ Choice Band
    Adamant Nature
    252 Atk/ 244 HP/ 14 Def

    Earthquake
    Meteor Mash
    Bullet Punch
    Thunderpunch

Choice Band boosts Metagross' already high attk to a new standard of over 610. Earthquake comes in to kill Heatran, Ice Punch for those extremely annoying double powder people, and the dragons, Bullet punch for priority and STAB, Thunderpunch for Gyara and other waters.

    Cresselia@ Leftovers
    Modest Nature
    252 HP/ 108 Def/ 150 Sp. Def.

    Charge Beam
    Psychic
    Reflect
    Moonlight

A Support Pokemon, as well as a counter to mixape, who destroys 2/3 of my team on a basic set, the whole team on a HP Electric set. Charge Beam for a boost, Psychic to kill ape, Reflect ofr support, Moonligh to recover.

    Heatran@ Choice Scarf
    Modest Nature
    20 HP/ 236 Spe/ 252 Spa

    Fire Blast
    Dragon Pulse
    Explosion
    Earth Power

Standard Scarf Tran comes in and revenge kills a lot of pokes. Since a good amount of my team dies to Flamethrower and the likes, Heatran can take the hit, boost up, and either switch to a counter to CC or revenge kill. Dragon Pulse is there for Chompy and the other dragons, Explosion to kill things that can kill me.

    Starmie@ Expert Belt
    Timid Nature
    160 HP /216 Spe/ 132 Spa

    Surf
    Thunderbolt
    Rapid Spin
    Recover

Rapid Spin to clear out spikes, which does quite a number on my team, Recover to .. well, recover, Surf for STAB.

    Tangrowth@ Leftovers
    Impish Nature
    Leaf Guard
    252 Defence/ 6 Atk/ 252 HP

    Power Whip
    Leech Seed
    Knock Off
    Sleep Powder

A standard Tangrowth can do well as a physical wall. Power Whip for STAB, Knock off to cripple other walls and to do 13100% to Shedinja. Poor Shedinja.

    Infernape@ Life Orb
    Naive Nature
    232 Spe/ 252 Sp. Atk/ 24 Atk

    Grass Knot
    HP Ice
    Flamethrower
    Close Combat

HP Ice Mixape is here to kill walls and destroy dragons. Basic all-out HP Ice Mixape moveset.

Well, there's my team. Tell me what you think about it.

    Some negatives about this team:
-Everyone besides Cress fails to spikes.
    - I probably have too many moves to stop dragons.
    - This team is surprisinly slow.
    - Apostle killed this team with a CM Raikou
    - This team is LO DD Bite Gyara weak.

    Changes Made:
-Ice Punch was changed to Meteor Mash on Metagross.
-Specs Tran was changed to Scarf Tran.
-Starmie got an expert belt, new nature, new EVs, and T-Bolt>> Ice Beam.
    - Substitute on Tangrowth was changed to Sleep Powder.
    - Infernape became Naive, got standard EVs.
-Infernape got Grass Knot over Nasty Plot.

DO NOT drop Grass Knot, use Hidden power >>Np if you really need it.

Also use a + speed nature.

I would say get a fighting resist >> tangrowth, Heracross, Lucario etc smash you.

    Gliscor would be cool

Ok, help on this team is seriously needed. I jsut got slaughtered by Aposlte and his CM Raikou.

No Meteor Mash on a CBGross? That's just crazy talk. I understand you want coverage, but just note that with Meteor Mash, you can get that attack boost and really bash things apart.

I'll accept this...although I'm no fan of Moonlight.

    Heatran@ Choice Specs
    Modest Nature
    6 HP/ 252 Spe/ 252 Spa

    Fire Blast
    HP Ice/Dragon Pulse

Okay, this works. Dragon Pulse is good for general coverage.

    160HP/132sp.atk/216spd

    Surf
    Ice Beam/Thunderbolt
    Rapid Spin
    Recover

All four of my first Pokemon carry some sort of Ice move on them. Maybe I'm starting to worry too much about the dragons. Oh well. Rapid Spin to clear out spikes, which does quite a number on my team, Recover to keep my calm about losing damage after LO, Surf for STAB.

Lax star? That's bad. Timid Star, that's good. Revised EV set as well. Also, Use Leftovers with Rapid Spin. I guess if you wanted some power, you could go with Expert Belt and use Thunderbolt for Gyarados..

    Tangrowth@ Leftovers
    Impish Nature
    Leaf Guard
    252 Defence/ 6 Atk/ 252 HP

    Power Whip
    Leech Seed
    Knock Off
    Sleep Powder

A standard Subseeding Tangrowth can do well as a physical wall. Power Whip for STAB, Knock off to cripple other walls and to do 13100% to Shedinja. Poor Shedinja.

Try Sub-seeding with 252def/252sp.atk/6HP@Modest with Stun Spore/Sub/Seed/Sludge Bomb. Otherwise, you're walled by grass-types to death. Otherwise, just use Sleep Powder.

    Nasty Plot
    HP Ice
    Flamethrower

HP Ice Mixape is here to kill walls and destroy dragons. Basic Mixape moveset, just changed Grass Knot to HP Ice.

No, THAT'S your standard EV set for Mixape. That lack of Grass Knot means you better have other resorts to Bulky grounds and waters.

Well, there's my team. Tell me what you think about it.

    Some negatives about this team:
    - Everyone besides Cress fails to spikes. You have Starmie to spin.
    - I probably have too many moves to stop dragons. Probably.
    - This team is surprisinly slow. Make sure you keep something from boosting speed then.
    - Apostle killed this team with a CM Raikou CM Kou is win, but yeah, troubles you a lot. Meta can get in early though and scare it off, but will take a hit in the process.
    - This team is LO DD Bite Gyara weak. Tangrowth beats Gyarados at least.

Your team is extremely special-attack based. You need some more physical prowess on this team since Raikou really does mess you up. I guess you could try Scarftran > SpecsTran as a change of pace, as well as a good revenger, exploding on Raikou should it dare stay in.

Metagross: Yah, I havent been able to kill stuff I should be with Bullet. MM>> IP. Im going to keep bullet punch for priority, and I'll have tran to explode.

Cress: Im not too much either, but I hate RestTalk pokes that arent named Lax.

    Heatran: I'll change to ScarfTran.

Star: T-bolt will help with my Gyara weakness. Changed to EB on Star.

Tan: Although this set does work a little bit, I'll go ahead and put some status on my team. I don;t have any.

Ape: Should I go HP Ice/ Flamethrower/ CC/ Grass Knot then? Or get rid of HP Ice?

I love all-out Ape, and your team can't do much to help set up Infernape. This team might prefer the more beatdown style that Ape can give without plot, or you can drop HP Ice for Nasty Plot instead.

HP Ice does give me more coverage, but I think I'm being a little overprotective on the team, since hte majority of my pokemon have a move on hte ice type. I'll go with the all-out no NP ape for now, but I'll be open to suggestions on ape.

Since the PC was getting moved to a new server, I've been testing out a new team on Shoddy that has been doing ok. Its current record is 12-4. Rate away, as it does need quite a bit of work.

Um if you are going to run those EVs, you want to run 252 HP/ 244 Atk/12 Def. It's for taking a Dugtrio's EQ. Otherwise, run a faster set.

Yeah, alright. But I don't like Moonlight either. I guess you have no other choice if you need the Reflect support.

    Heatran@ Choice Specs
    Modest Nature
    20 HP/ 236 Spe/ 252 Spa

    Fire Blast
    HP Ice
    Explosion
    Earth Power

Standard Scarf Tran comes in and revenge kills a lot of pokes. Since a good amount of my team dies to Flamethrower and the likes, Heatran can take the hit, boost up, and either switch to a counter to CC or revenge kill. HP Ice is there for Chompy and the other dragons, Explosion to kill things that can kill me.
You forgot to update the item. Dragon Pulse hits YacheChomp harder than HP Ice and offer's more neutral coverage.

    Starmie@ Expert Belt
    Timid Nature
    160 HP /216 Spe/ 132 Spa

    Surf
    Thunderbolt
    Rapid Spin
    Recover

Rapid Spin to clear out spikes, which does quite a number on my team, Recover to .. well, recover, Surf for STAB.
I've never been a great fan of that EV spread. It's not bulky enough to be a true "bulky water", yet too offensively weak with those EVs. I would run a bulkier spread or go all-out (BoltBeam, Surf & GrassKnot/Psychic). You don't have a glaring SR weak and Heatran scares away the common spikers.(Forry, Roserade, etc)

    Tangrowth@ Leftovers
    Impish Nature
    Leaf Guard
    252 Defence/ 6 Atk/ 252 HP

    Power Whip
    Leech Seed
    Knock Off
    Sleep Powder

A standard Tangrowth can do well as a physical wall. Power Whip for STAB, Knock off to cripple other walls and to do 13100% to Shedinja. Poor Shedinja. You team shouldn't be allowing the opponent to set up, so you could opt for double-powder over Knock Off. Heatran makes Shedinja cry, anyway.

    Infernape@ Life Orb
    Naive Nature
    232 Spe/ 252 Sp. Atk/ 24 Atk

    Grass Knot
    HP Ice
    Flamethrower
    Close Combat

HP Ice Mixape is here to kill walls and destroy dragons. Basic all-out HP Ice Mixape moveset.
Yeah, it works. 24 Atk Evs is a tad pointless, as it's for Bold Bliss (Shudder), But I can't see anywhere else worth putting them.

Well, there's my team. Tell me what you think about it.

    Some negatives about this team:
-Everyone besides Cress fails to spikes. Tran lols at spikers. Abuse that.
    - I probably have too many moves to stop dragons. Hardly.
    - This team is surprisinly slow.
    - Apostle killed this team with a CM Raikou You can't let things set up with this team. ScarfTran helps, but still...
    - This team is LO DD Bite Gyara weak. Scout them. If they don't run EQ then Metagross should be able to handle it with TPunch.

So, you need to make sure you DON'T LET ANYTHING SET UP. You might as well run a more offensive approach. Good team, though.

Ok, i'll change the EV's, 607 atk w/e a choice band is probably over kill.

Oh shoot i forgot to change Heatran to ScarfTran. i need to get on that.

I'm not rlly trying to make Starmie a "bulky water", Star's there to do some damage and spin off.

I'll change HP Ice to Dragon Pulse on Hea. might help out a little, and HP Ice with the IV calculator on Shoddy means that Heatran doesnt take stuff as badly as it used to.

Knock off is going to help out if I ever get in a stall war, so I prefer to keep it.

Agreed. Setting up is not good for my team. I'll be sure to be more potent and switch more. When Apostle killed me, It was cuz i got chicken to switch and let him set up CM while my Cress did nothing to him with Psychic and Charge Beam(aka Pressure-stalled).

I suppose you could try a phazer on your team (Roar/Whirlwind). Swampert does really well, especially since you're weak to Raikou as mentioned.

I'm starting to think having CB Gross as my lead isn't too great of an idea anymore. Maybe I'll put ScarfTran as lead and but Swampert>> Metagross to Phaze. The moveset is Roar/ Avalanche/ EQ/ Waterfall, rite? Or is that a different set?
