As we all know there isnt very many people in pokemon but it seems like there are 1,000,000 grunts just there to make you day harder, but heres a question.

Where do they come from!?!?!? is team plasma/rocket/other really that persuasive to recruit like 35% Of the population???

Personally i dont think they are, i think theyer like zerglings or murlocs(((No I couldnt think of a reference from pokemon to use cause there are just SO MANY of them))) and they just spawn out of nowhere due to someones will and swarm you.

Well considering how MANY of the NPC's in-game had really thought their goals made sense. And I actually felt bad for catching pokemon, 10 years of catching had for a little while felt absolutely awful. Once I saw them abusing pokemon it had a real life connection of a hypocritical behavior of hyper-dynamic people. I didn't feel like catching them was not actually morally wrong until quite a bit later in the game when N would talk to you.

That is a VERY compelling manner of work. That's how modern day groups get so many people to work for them, sometimes when the regular people don't actually know the whole story.

Plus, you could take into account that you might be fighting some of the same grunts multiple times. I don't think there's more grunts than the maximum amount at a single place in one time, because once they switch locales you can assume that whatever grunt you're fighting you could have already fought before. :)

This kinda applies to more than just Black and White (cause grunts have been around since the start), so I'll move this to Pokemon Gaming Central, where you can continue discussing where they come from / the amounts of grunts in different games (unless there's already a thread on it I missed). :D

I think that the evil team recruits Grunts if the people agree to their beliefs, which is around 40% of the population.

I think more of the grunts re-battle you throughout the game, mainly because they don't tell you their name when you battle them and as such there is no way to tell them apart. It's not like after they are beaten they all see the error of their ways and quit. There aren't that many members in the Team Rocket Fan Club.

Well i know this, if you pay attention to some of the text in Gold/Silver you fight the same grunt like 3 times and after the third time he's like, Aw crap its him again.

But my main point is that giant castle in black and white where you fought N. They had to have an obsene amount of grunts that knew they were doing wrong to build that massive monument. So team plasma had to have 2 sets of grunts, the Recruitors/Elimionaters *the ones you fought* and the Huge team that built the castle.

The problem there is that the team that built the castle had to know they were being the stereotypical bad guys to enslave the pokemon to build that. *if you talked to them you found out this is what they did* And a small minority was actually out recruiting.

Ty for moveing it, i was originally going to make it just about plasma grunts considering there has to be a ton more of them than in the other games, but last min i decited to just make it all and forgot to change form.
