You should already know your average second and delay; now, you must find your average frame.

Frame Calibration Phase

1. Save your character directly next to the Daycare Man when he is holding your egg.
2. Power off, power on. You must note your DS's date and time (to the minute).
3. Press A quickly though DPPt's Start Menu and hit Continue adventure. Interact with the Daycare Man as quickly as possible.
4. Hatch the egg. Note the baby's IVs.
5. Encounter and catch a wild Pokemon. Those without an IV Check Code should catch a level 50 Pokemon and/or have Rare Candy.
6. Note the captured Pokemon's Nature and IVs.
7. Open RNG Reporter and click Seed Finder. Using the Find Seed by IVs tab, input the DS's Year, Month, Date, Hour, and the Minute you hit Continue. Input the captured Pokemon's Nature and its accurate IVs. Check DPP bubble and click Find. The first highlighted row must (and will usually) say Initial, not Monster. In this example, the
Initial Seed is DF140268
Seconds are 37
Delay is 606
Click OK.



8. Change Method dropdown menu to Breeding DPPt. Edit Max Results from 100000 to 1000. Starting Frame must be 1. Click Generate.
9. Find the baby's IVs in the generated results. Letter A denotes that the IV was inherited from the first Parent deposited in the Daycare. Letter B is an IV from the second Parent.
10. As neither parent has an HP IV of 25, my frame must be 7. Thus, my baby inherited Parent A's SpAtk and Parent B's Atk and Def.



11. Repeat this procedure a couple of times until you land on a consistent frame. If I land on frame 3 next time, my frames are inconsistent, so I would resave next to the Daycare Man and repeat. If I land on frame 7 next time, I will proceed onto abusing IVs.

Selecting a Perfect IV Target Spread

1. Open RNG Reporter and click Time Finder. On tab Egg IVs, enter a Year, Month, and Seconds. For Frames, Minimum should be 1 and Maximum should be 10, although it depends on your average Frame. For Delay, Min and Max also depends on your average Delay Range.
2. Be sure that Odd/Even, Search One Frame Only, and HGSS Inheritance are not bubbled.
2. Click =31 for each stat you want flawless. If you know your Parent IVs, input those in the boxes.
3. In this example, my second Parent (B) is flawless, and
Average Second is 34
Average Delay Range is 596 to 606
Average Frame Range is frame 1 to 10
Click Generate.



4. I found this beautiful Target Spread
IVs are 31 / B / 31 / 12 / B / B.
Target Delay is 596
Target Frame is 7
Target Time is 19:01:34
Target Date is 2010 06 26.
5. In this example, I must advance my DS date to the 26th. My Journal will not pop up. If I had to change my DS date to a distant date, such as the 30th, the Journal will pop up and advance my Frame by 2 if the message "Caught/Defeated (Pokemon)" is displayed. Thus, I will hit Frame 9 instead of Frame 7. I will either have to recalibrate my Frame while saved on the 30th until I get Frame 7, or search for a Target Spread of Frame 9, 11, 13, 15, etc. I advise others to do the former option: search for a Target Spread first, then calibrate for a particular Frame.
6. Once you are happy with your Target Spread, right click it and select Set as Target Frame.
7. Right click it again, this time selecting Generate Adjacent Results. Although the default settings are okay, roughly input +- 1 Second, +- 20 Target Delay, and +- 5 Target Frame. These numbers are arbitrary; increase the ranges if you are a novice.
In this example, I input
Seconds 33 to 35
Min Max Delay 570 to 620
Min Max Frame 1 to 14
Click OK.


8. Congrats, you are looking at most nearby spreads you may accidentally hit instead of your beautiful Target Spread; never fear, your mistakes may help you adjust accordingly.

Resetting for your Target Spread

1. Synchronize your DS clock and an external clock, such as the computer's clock, to your Target Time minus the seconds. My Target Time is 19:01:34 so I will set both clocks to 19:01:00.
2. Power off. In this example, I will power on my DS when my computer clock reads :07 Seconds. I use AR for Fast Hatch and IV Check, so I save my codelist and using AR increases my seconds to 34. Non AR users will enter the game world in about 20 seconds instead of 34 Seconds. Adjust accordingly.
3. Power on, press A quickly though DPPt's Start Menu and hit Continue adventure. Interact with the Daycare Man as quickly as possible.
4. Go to your Coin Flip app. On RNG Reporter, click Search Coin Flips. Flip your coin 10 times and note the Heads (Magikarp) and Tails (Pokeball) sequence. Enter the sequence.
In this example, my Coin Flip results were:
H, H, H, H, T, T, T, H, H, T


Click Ok.
5. In this example, I accidentally hit
Delay 600
Second 33.
Next time, I will power on my DS when my computer clock reads :08 seconds. My Delay is Even, so that is fine. If my Delay is opposite of what I want, for instance, if my Delay came out Odd when I desire Even, I would shove in a GBA cartridge in the GBA slot. DSi players, your remedy will be tricky, so simply search a Delay you normally get.
6. Hatch the egg. Compare its IVs to the generated IVs. As neither of my Parents have 20 HP IVs, my Frame is 7.


7. As I did not hit my Target Spread, I will power off and repeat this procedure by resynchronizing clocks to 19:01:00 each time.
8. Second try, I hit
Delay 596
Second 34
Although it is identical to my Target Spread, once I hatch the egg, I realize the IVs are not flawless... I landed on Frame 5. My fault for not saving on consistent frames. Power off.
9. Rinse and repeat.

Abusing Egg IVs
Right click your highlighted Target Frame and select "Set as Target Frame".


Blade: when you practice, you enter your game world and access your coin flip app. Click on Search Flips. Flip your ingame coin 10 times and note the heads tails order. you are using 8.3 which has pictures to help. Then hit okay. It should tell you which delay you hit and how off you are.


Blade: Then fast hatch it and look at the IVs and figure out which frame your baby matches, with consideration of parent IVs A and B. if your frame is not 7, not only should you reset, but resave next to the old man holding the egg until you can practice and get frame 7.


Blade: which delays have you been hitting.. are they odd or even? too high or low?

Jake: "cool it's not on there"
Blade: it said no matches for flips found?

Right-click, select "Jump to Target Frame." Increase Adjacent Results.

ohh ok...yea that's actually a big problem :( I get very skeptical about perfect IV'd legendaries when they are in masterballs, especially if they are shiny. I will get around to listing the IV's one day! It's such a hassle tho lol
