Hack of Gold - Remake of Sapphire [planning stage]

    I'm attempting to create a remake (or at least a "half-remake") of Sapphire using Gold as base.

    I'm working within GNU/Linux and GoldMap 1.6 running under WINE.

    At first I would like to hear suggestions and ideas. And some help: is it possible (and if it is, how) to modify the Pokégear map?

    A (scaled down) screenshot showing Petalburg City in GoldMap is attached.

    (PS. Please don't ban me if this thread is illegal, bad or something; I'm new and unexperienced.)
