[PokeCommunity.com] Halo: MCC Comes To PC, Reach Also Being Added To The Game

This is tremendously exciting news for the Halo community, and Reach being added and getting the 4K/60FPS treatment is fantastic as well!

Anyone here gonna buy this on Steam when it releases?

I haven't played Halo in years - and I only played the first three games - so if the price is right I will absolutely buy these! It'd be nice to revisit the games and play the ones I haven't played before.

The issue I have with this is that they're releasing the games one at a time. You just know they're going to use that as an excuse to charge full price for each one...

I personally find that highly unlikely, since the collection completed is $30 on XBOX Live right now, plus an additional $5 if you want ODST.

...and the Resident Evil titles are around £15 on the PS4, but are going to be released on the Switch in May for £29.99 apiece. Digitally.

I realise it's a different company, but this sort of thing always happens with re-releases, so I won't hold my breath on these being reasonably priced. I would love to be wrong, but corporate greed is ever a factor in the industry, so I'm not going to hold my breath.

Well that's the "Switch Tax". They know people want some games on a fast selling console, so they raise the price of those games.

The Switch Tax applies to physical/digital games because of the cost of cartridges - or so they say - and not to digital-only releases.

Either way, I do expect a price increase on these games which would make buying the collection cheaper...it's just a question of how much. A fair price wouldn't be any more than around £12 per game, but I can see them going to £20. Will have to wait and see I suppose.
