    Hey all! :)
I hardly ever show my hand-drawn pieces here, but I thought I'd show one for a change. ;) It's Boromir and Faramir from LoTR. :) I'm really pleased with it - I used an HB pencil and it took about 5 hours of work to complete. I used a photo reference from the scene at Osgiliath.

I really hope you like it! :) All comments are much appreciated! ^_^

You-you-you drawed them? Im surprised... WOW! You are REALLY good at this ^^

    Awesome!!! I love LotR hehe...
    That's such an amazing pic!
You deserve to be proud! You have every right!

I'm especially fond of the shading on their armor. It looks so realistic!

Wow Forest Grovyle, I always knew you were an extremely talented artist on the computer, but I never knew you could match your high standards with a mouse, with a pencil.

    It's just plain amazing hehe..

Thanks everyone! ^_^ I really appreciate all your comments!
LoTR rules! :D Boromir is my fave character. :) I don't draw by hand too often, but when I do, I often surprise myself! I'm thinking I may draw a Pokemon picture by hand soon...haven't done one of those in a long time!

Man that is really bad...dont mean to bring you down put they eye's are way off and the nose is to off kilter and you should learn anatomy a little better.

    You bet! Hehe..
And Boromir rocks! A lot of people think he's a bad guy, but in reality (as real as LotR can get hehe), he's actually really nice! It's the ring that made him act that way! He did many different things in the book, and in the movie he made a really strong bond with Merry and Pippin.

    Gahh, that was off-topic....sorry!

I still think your pic is great! I'm suprised it took five hours. I would've expectrd it would take a lot more!

Yeah, facial proportions are way off, but you have a knack for looking at something and drawing it right back. You have talent, I can see that. The shading in the aromour is particularly outstanding. Very nice work!

The shading on the armour is amazing. You have a talent for bringing out the subtle colours and shades in greyscale.

Their faces look weird, but it is pretty good, I have never seem/read LOTR so I don't no.

Awsome job! What fine detail and shading!

Well i think you did well with this. I see how blue seen something a litte of with the eyes but nothing like he was letting on. The detail was very nice and realy made the pic feel more real.

There is nothing wrong with criticizing but Critisizing starting off with This is bad especially when its one of the best pieces on PC or realism..

The head of the person on the left looks a little weird in proportions and the nose is a bit out of shape, but the one on the right looks alright. Other than those, the picture looks great (Amazing...you got the body-to-head proportions right too!). Especially that shading. I can't never do those kind of stuff well.

(FG: btw, hope you don't mind me having taken off the signature you did for me last time. I'm still keeping it in case I'll using it again ^^)

    Thanks everyone :)
I know that the picture is far-from-perfect, but I love to give these things a go, as I love looking at realism art on the Internet. :) I find faces and such really hard to draw, but as they say, practice makes perfect! ^_^ That's the wonderful thing about art - it's all down to interpretation! :)

    P.S. No worries, Purin! ;) I don't mind at all! :)
