    Yeah...o_o; It really is...Kinda weird, but true~
     
    Yarr, it's a real holiday mateys!. Me and a few other kids were celebrating it today at school. Yarr!

    If I see one more "arr" my head will explode <_<;

    The whole slinging of slurred phrases, avast, matey, ye, etc. is really a movie misconception...even the most uneducated person in the 17th and 18th centuries tended to have a more eloquent and expansive vocabulary than most people today.

    So, if I'm going to be technical...I don't have the linguistic capacity or knowledge to properly and authentically simulate a pirate's speech...

    Avast ye matey! Yar har har har! Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of... of... blast I's forgoten!
    *Shoots his pistol into the air and sways about dangerously*
    Yar... I ARRRRRRR! feeling a tad seasick from all this pirate talk. I shall utter me terms of piratism and then relieve my vomit off poopdeck...
    "Yar, booty, arrr, avast, aye-aye cap'n, ahoy, land hoy, sea dog, land lubber, ggrraarr!"
