HARDEST VIDEO GAME BOSSES 1-5

In no particular order:

1. Data Xigbar in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+ - this guy is just a nightmare. He's the only data fight I haven't even attempted since beating him the first time. People need to stop complaining about Terra because data Xigbar is just so much harder.

2. Gades (first battle) in Lufia II. Fighting an endgame boss early on isn't fun even if you spend countless hours leveling your characters. I've only ever managed to beat him with a somewhat reasonably low leveled party using savestates. Of course you can always just let him kill you, but then you won't get the Gades Blade. D=

3. Whatever the final boss in Lufia 3 is called - holy crap this thing was strong. I had spent quite a while leveling my party at every possible occasion, but I still couldn't beat this boss without savestates. Or maybe I just suck. :x I don't even want to know what Iris (the ultimate boss of the game) is like.

4. Ozma in Final Fantasy IX - this battle really just comes down to luck. Either Ozma decides to annihilate your whole party or it doesn't. Of course you can shift the battle in your favor by equipping Dark absorbing equipment so Doomsday heals you, but even so, Ozma is still ready to happily spam its other spells.

5. Since I can't come up with anything else I'll just say Larxene in KH II FM+ at level 1. Basically she can just kill you at any given moment. With proper armor, you might survive one of her weaker combos, but that's it. And I'm not even talking about the data version of her since I haven't gotten that far. Thankfully after about 4 hours of trial and error you should be able to predict most of Larxene's attacks, but she still isn't easy to beat.
4) Replica Riku from Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories: You better keep some 0 Level cards for safe storage, or else you will lose this fight.
Or just spam Sonic Blade or Holy. (if you happen to have the latter)

Well for me

5.Omega Weapon (FF8) Unless your fast and you us Shooting Star ALOT then and have Lion Heart then theres no way you can beat him.

4.CO Sturn (Advance Wars 2) Well he isn't that HARD but on his final stage. >_<

3. Co Caulder (Advance Wars Days of Ruin) Don't make me go there on how aoinfully hard his final stage is.

2. Lu Bu (Dynasty Warriors games) Keeps being a pain every time they remake him (Dynasty Warriors 4 is the most Over Powered of them all)

1. Uber Baal (Disgaea 2 and 3)
Level 9999 Check
Stats over 9 million! Check
Uber weapons of your own. No check

My top 5, hmm. I guess I have a few to share. ^^

5. Dullahan (Golden Sun: The Lost Age) - After you figure it out, he's quite easy. Bum rush him with Daedulus and then Eclipses after Fire and Earth guys are dead. He'll die quickly.

4. Sephiroth (Kingdom Hearts II) - He just hurt....and a lot. But bum rushing him with Trinity over and over with lots and lots of dodging helped.

3. Mid-Boss Round 3 (Disgaea: Hour of Darkness) - He was MEAN! Laharl had to kill him, by himself and almost dead, also paralyzed so he couldn't move. Green Mage saved my butt there.

2. Fafnir (Final Fantasy XII) - Even at level 68 with a Berserked/Bravery/Haste/Zodiac Spear guy he still took quite some time to die AND killed 4 members of my party before he went down.

1. Dr. Lugue (Final Fantasy IV DS) - He took me PLENTY of tries to take down. Reverse + Curaja full party = instant death

I cant think of a lot right now but here are a few.

Mizar Final (Jet force Gemini) - I keep dying over and over again, maybe because I had bad aiming.

F zone Eggman (Sonic Rush) - I have no clue why he was so hard.......those lazer things that follow you and those one hit KO moves

Duon (Super Smash Brothers Brawl) - I just dont like him

Giga Bowser (Super Smash Brothers Melee) Him, Mewtwo, and Ganondorf all one one field is very hard but fun n_n

Razorbeard (Rayman 2: The Great Escape) - I dont like him either

I will edit later, I think

#5 - Majora's Wrath (The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask) : It's only #5 because I simply do not beat the game without the Fierce Deity's Mask. I just don't. Honestly, I don't even know how you're supposed to hurt the damn thing without it...:S

#4 - Mr. Patch (Banjo-Tooie) : Honestly, the first time I played through Banjo-Tooie, I didn't even beat this guy (if you had to, I saved him for when I had no other option but to fight him.) I have terrible aim, and fighting this guy was a royal pain. He's gigantic, assaults you with giant...bouncing balls, and not only do you have to hit him in a specific area when he's moving with slow-moving projectiles, but he can just turn around and be all "lul, YOU TRIED TO HIT ME, lululululul". Oh, and as if that wasn't enough, he gets SMALLER and more agile as he takes damage, and there are less targets that you're able to hit. What a resource killer, this thing. :(

#3 - Gruntilda (Banjo-Kazooie.) : The only reason I ever played through this blasted game once. This game was one of the best games I've ever played, but the sheer "ugh"ness of the game's final boss was enough to put me off. I mean, with the two Banjo-Kazooie games for the N64, they did one of the most wrench-throwing things ever - making a ridiculously fun and addictive puzzle / game to play through right before fighting the final boss, and then throwing right into a ridiculously boring and arduous final boss fight. Grunitlda was ridiculously long, because, as stated earlier, you had to summon four Jinjos and the Jinjonator in order to deliver the final blow. The Jinjo statues were activated by aiming very precise shots (without FPV, no less) into very small holes in the statues that would activate them. You had to do this four times for five statues, and refills on ammo were slow in comparison to the rapid-fire attacks Gruntilda threw at you during the intermissions. Ridiculous fight is ridiculous.

#2 - Saint - Million / Shambertin / Kondrieu (Phantasy Star Online : Blue Burst) : Red, blue or green, regardless of what form you fought this gigantic snake incased in stone in, one thing was clear: THIS THING IS A FACKIN PAIN. Directly after bursting out of its encasement in one of the coolest boss intros ever, it proceeds to send an army of spinning blades to hamper your progress to killing him. As you do, it spins around the arena, effectively keeping you inside a small circular arena full of spinning blades on steroids. (Even a level 200 RAcaseal with level 81 Deband takes about 40% damage from it, and is almost always knocked down.) The worst part is, in order to damage the leviathan, you have to kill one of these stupid spinning blades with a different color. Even then, others almost always get in the way of your progress, knocking you down and stopping your combos, and often times killing you. If you manage to get it killed, the leviathan then rears its tail into the air, exposing its weak points for a rather lengthy amount of time. After taking out a few of the diamonds on its tail, it then gets really mad, barfs on the crystal you used to set it free, then retreats to one of three locations. After you figure out where it went, you go to it to get barraged by tornado attacks, more of the spinning blades, and SHOOP DA WHOOPS. You can attack its weak points in between it firing its laser (which does RIDICULOUS amounts of damage), and then it will run BACK to the middle of the arena, where it will stand ready to fight but with it's neck's diamonds exposed. If you can destroy all of them, it dies. Otherwise, it goes back to the beginning. Personally, having never come above level 130 on Blue Burst, I never went into the battle and came out not having died once. It is nearly impossible for even the strongest of fighters to escape this battle without having died.

#1 - King K. Rool (Donkey Kong Country 2 / Donkey Kong 64) : Yes, I cheated by putting the same boss from two games. Well, DKC2 is possibly the best game I've ever played and my favorite of all time (Yoshi's Island is its only competition), so it's only fitting that it has a ridiculously hard boss. The difficulty isn't in actually inflicting damage to K. Rool; it's being able to survive the ENTIRE BATTLE (which is ridiculously long) with but the opportunity to dodge two hits of his barrage of spiked musket rounds (until an extra freebie comes by). It doesn't help that one of those opportunities provides a much better ability to avoid the musket rounds. But the best part about this guy is that he doesn't cop out after being beaten the first time. Nope, this guy comes back for round 2 if you can beat him by accessing and beating all the levels in the Lost World, which yields the hardest levels in the game by a long shot. In my opinion, the levels are much harder than K. Rool, but that's because I have a mastery of timing and rhythm. The second fight with K. Rool himself has its advantages and disadvantages compared to the first. The advantage is that it's a much shorter fight. The disadvantages? Not only are there much more projectiles to dodge, but you don't get 3 freebies like you did in the first fight. However, the former is nothing after just having come through levels where an inch off of your precision skills can cost you your life. The sheer "OMFG I WON, FINALLY" factor is enough to give it the number 1 spot, because we tend to call the most difficult bosses the ones that yield the most satisfaction after you've beaten them.

That doesn't hold true for the DK64 K. Rool. He may be ridiculously long and ridiculously...awkward to fight, but after you've beaten him, you don't have that sense of accomplishment that you do for beating a game with the calibre of Donkey Kong 64. The game itself provides multiple fun challenges that involve puzzles, time attacks, hunts, and other such fun endeavors, but after you've beaten them and get to K. Rool, you don't feel as much "OK, THIS IS IT!" as you do "oh...well, here we go...". It's annoying, honestly. The fight is awkward; you fight in a boxing ring that's inside of a broken ship. The ship somehow has a ridiculously huge audience, one that wouldn't fit the ship, but hey, this was the time where logic wasn't as analyzed. Regardless, the fight itself is split into five long, arduous parts, each for one seperate Kong to tackle. All of them require timing and aiming, two elements that the target demographic of a game like this severely lack. That's the thing about games these days; they lack such elements. You can shoot any old thing at any old time and the game will throw roses at your feet as if you just won the Olympics. (Pardon my Zero Punctuation moment.) Anyway, the fight is really long and really hard, but it's extremely boring throughout and doesn't provide much satisfaction in beating it. It's only at the top of my list because it's fackin' hard.

Bluh, long post was long. :S

Bluh, long post was long. :S

Dude awesome list! Thanks guys, I really didnt think this topic would last xD

1) Metal Kor (Jak II): I tried against this boss around 600 times, it took like an hour to fight him too -_-' and for a horrible ending.

2) Falzar (MMBN6: Cybeast Falzar) This wasn't a fair fight considering I only had 240 hp at the time xD

3) Sephiroth (Kingdom Hearts II) At 99 I still had some trouble on him... but it got me ultima weapon! :D

4) Lou on Expert (Guitar Hero III) It took me soooo long to defeat Lou in guitar battle then. I usually failed rather quickly.

5)Underworld Emperor (Decapattack) It's not like any boss was easy in this game, but they pushed it on Level Seven-Three. Seriously, around 160 hits isn't very fair considering you can only take 8 at the most. Usually 4 or 6. Depends on how good you are.

That's in order too.

let's see...
#5- The Biolizard (Sonic Adventure 2/Battle): I used to always lose on that dude. But not anymore! :D

#4- King Dedede (Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland): It took me a long time before i could actually beat him.

#3- Egg Breaker (Shadow the Hedgehog): The kind where you have to use a rocket to reach him. It was hard.

#2- Duon (Super Smash Bros. Brawl): Lousy two-headed mutant shadow... thingy. It hits hard!

#1- Tabuu (Super Smash Bros. Brawl): Do I even have to explain? (Off-Waves FTL...)

5. Kariya and Uzuki from The World Ends With You. It was really Beat who screwed this up for me. He wasn't able to move fast enough to stop Uzuki's attacks.
4. Razzy from Summon Night: Swordcraft Story Your only hope is to paralyze he and break her weapon. She's too fast to be able to mow down her HP.
3.The Elder Shroob Princess from Mario & Luigi: PIT SPAM MIX FLOWER OR FACE ERASURE!!!
2. All the bosses in Kingdom Hearts 1 During and after Hollow Bastion(mentioned before) Maleficent's normal form wasn't too hard, but lord, sweet lord, her dragon form. Riku's dark form wasn't a walk in the park either. I wasted all my items during that battle and still kept hanging on a thread.
!!!1!!!.Velius from Final Fantasy Tactics Don't listen to what anybody has to say, This is the toughest non-optional Boss fight in the entire Final Fantasy franchise! No matter how good your team is at the time, you can only win with a wing and a prayer.

*Honorable Mention all the marks from Final Fantasy XII. Especially Yiazmat.

1 - Sephiroth - Kingdom Hearts II - Really, does it have to make it that tough, really????
2 - Xenohearts Heartless - Kingdom Hearts I - If I wasen't at such a high level when I took him on.......
3 - Sephiroth - Kingdom Hearts I - After a couple losses, you tend to notice a pattren with his attacks.
4 - Xigbar - Kingdom Hearts II - That multi shot thing he did, was just, <cries and cowers in the corner>
5 - Metroid Prime - Metroid Prime(Hard) - On easy, not so hard, on normal, a little harder, but on hard, ohh man watch your ass!!!

You've had them. You've seen them. You hated them till the end of time. And now its time to complain about them!Hardest video game boss youve ever fought!place them from 1-5 (doesnt have to be in order)Mine would have to be(not in order)

1.Lucifer, Shin megami tensei:Nocturne:This massive beast will not only intimidate you with its size, but with its ugliness
5.Nyx,Persona3:Yes this thing is frikin hard, but thts not the biggest problem. The biggest problem is how long can ur patience hold up for this boss. This Boss would last from 20-30 minutes.OMFG

I agree- Lucifer was pretty freaking hard- though I found Metatron to be harder.
Also- maybe I was more prepared than you- or maybe Nyx was different in Fes (which is sounds like you played due to fighting Elizabeth) but using Thantos with the protagonist... I found Nyx to be easy/boring.
That being said...

1; Final Boss in FF3 (I don't remember names and when I looked up strategies on how to beat them it was like have a grindfest so youre all high level ninja's get a lot of shurikens and GOOD LUCK!)
2; Final Boss in Digimon World DS (After a long grindfest I finally beat him, only to realize he has a second form)
3; Final Boss Digital Devil Saga 2: Basically it has like 7 maybe different forms starts off easy and gets exponentially harder
4; Every boss from every non-rpg megaman game, ever!
5; I'm prolly missing something but I can't think atm so maybe Elite for in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl seemed a lot harder than previous Elite Fours..

As has been said the hardest thing I've ever fought..

1. Dullahan-Golden Sun 2 final boss. Holy mother of Jupiter, Djinn Storm should be deemed UBER N' BANNED. Quit stealin' ma little djinni >.<

I'll add more once I remember, haha. I'm not extremely versatile with tough-boss games.

Any of the MGS4 bosses on BB extreme when you're aiming for non lethal kills only.

And Brock, nothing else has ever being harder than Brock for me.

1. G.T. (G-Darius) this boss is hard as anything. i cant even survive once before killing this thing.
2. Embryon (G-Darius) same as G.T. but isnt as hard.
3. Deadly Dragon (Wiz n Liz) this is very hard. trying to hit him while dodging his fast spray of flames, yet you only have 6 hit points to beat him with. really hard boss, but managed to beat him eventually.
4. Bernardo (High Seas Havoc) quite a difficult boss if you dont know what to do. meteors and electric are quite hard to dodge. becomes harder when he is gold.
5. Duo (MMBN 4) this was a big pain. trying to dodge attacks while scoring with some of your own. took me 5 tries to beat him the first time.
