harry potter and the philosopher`s stone (ps1) (devil`s snare)

    could someone give me some hints on how to get past the devil`s snare
     
    Old game! I beat it ages ago! In any case, I'm assuming you're from england because it's "Philosopher's" not "Sorcerer's." In any case, I can't remember enough to help you out, but you can go here:

    Go here (https://gamefaqs.com/console/psx/) for the ps1 section, then just click "H" at the top and find your game.
     
    when the snare thingy's vines come at you use Incendio on them. that should remove them from you. then use incendio on the main tree or on where Ron and Hermy is stuck....
