has anyone heard of vBulletin Lite?

I remember that... if I'm not mistaken, I think it was discontinued long ago. It was a less-featured version of vBulliten, right? I think you could only get 30 members maximum anyway. @_@ But to answer your question, no, I don't know where you could get it. (And if you could, it would be a much older version.)
 
i dont care... i want it.. i can always modify it so i can get moremembers... i want a vb forum but dont have the money...
 
I do'nt think they have it anymore.. I'm sure there is people with cracked versions of like version 2's and stuff. But i do'nt know...
 
i found an older version of v-bulliten to download... i did but didnt install it... should i be scared? is it ok to install?
 
Er... it's illegal to set it up without paying for it. If anyone reports you and you don't have a legitimate copy of the software, legal action could be taken against you by the owners of vBulliten. =\ Plus, the other versions aren't as stable or won't work as well. You're just better off using a free type of forumware such as IPB or phpBB. :\
 
o... dang... maybe ill buy a 160 dollar liscense then :/ i dont wanna pay but what do u do?

You can purchase a cheaper, one-year license if $160 is too much? though really most of the free ones have all you?d need anyways, only if you?re really serious about customizing your forum, and pouring some serious work into it would vB be a sound investment.
 
Someone please help me... i really cant afford vb so can someone help any way they can and get vB lite? i dont care that its old i just want a vB forum!

sounds like vB lite would be worse, and if you hack into it so change the limitations people would find out. YOu know its alot harder to put hacked and stolen things on the web, then just downloading programs to your computer.
 
might as well get an illigal vB than vB light...

You won't get arrested, you'll just have to pay a very big fine.
Anyway, use PhpBB and I'm pretty sure that people have made hacks to work like VB. The only problem is that you'll have to install a lot of hacks which is not illeagal with PhpBB.

theres no point in you begging us to get you things, maybe you should just make do with what you have. Also, you said you didn't want to pay $160, buy in another forum you complain not having any $ for a domain...??
 
Like the other people have said, you might as well just get a free forum like phpBB, besides, would you really want to waste nearly 200 dollars to get a vB forum, and then risk wasting money when you find out that the activity decreases? Because that could be a possibility.

Just get a free forum, work very hard at getting more members with originality, a wicked skin, and many other goodies, and if it actually becomes a successful forum, THEN use your money to buy a vB.

Anyways, I have not heard of vBulletin Lite, have you checked on Google? If it exists, Google will find it for you. =P

ive checked google msn altivista and yahoo... it seems that the only download site is vbulletin.com... dang...
 
vB lite indeed once existed but, as said earlier, was discontinued quite some time ago.. vB lite was based on the very old ver 1 series and wasn't very modifiable at all..

Like eveyone else is telling you, get phpBB (and the vB skin if you wanna vB look-alike) and grow it from there.
