has anyone heard of vBulletin Lite?

no... i dont want the "look" i want a good forum... vBulletin... i dont like phpBB but i heard there is a company making a new forum software to rival vB

I never got arrested when I had mine last year, I just got kicked off my hosting plan after a few months, thats all . . . lol
 
Why don't you like phpBB or IPB? I don't get WHY you don't like them. I mean if your not willing to pay for a VB board, then you should make out with what you can afford, which is a free board.

LOL, he doesn't even want to pay $160 a year, what makes you think he can pay a huge fine. :P But as VRoad, that usually doesn't happen, especially on a first offence.
 
i am using tuna fish (a mod of phpBB that has alot of the same features as vB) i and i dont own my hosting so kyletech would lose hosting... im not gonna use that pirated version... and i deleted it
 
vB Lite is long gone. You ain't gonna find it.

I also did some research on it. There was a limit to the number of people, there was a limit to the number of posts, everywhere I saw posts about it, people said that it sucked. It was full of security holes.

Not worth it. But I would be curious to find one for download, just to check it out... but for now I'm content with my pirated version of 3.0.0 which is always fun to play around with.

Giving out the URL would be illegal. Besides, I doubt many places on the 'net would give out vBullitens knowing the legal consequences behind it. I'm sure he must have gotten it from a friend with a license or something like that.
 
You would be suprised on who acutally has them. Liek someone offered me one when i bort mine.. i was like naw.. i think i will stick with the legal copy.

I just downloaded it so I could see the full features on a real board. :D

If I were to ever use it -as if- I'd buy a legal version.
 
yaBB looks alot like vB... also thats what the new tuna-fish system is based off of..

hmmmmmmmmmmm... it works for me... i dunno why it doesnt work... ill tell him to fix that... and he is getting a demo ready...
 
Its a really slow server.. took ages to load.. and i have DSL :(. Anywho, You don't really need all the features VB gives you, as you can get them off other forums. VB just is easy to use i guess.
 
i just found out that he cancelled the project. its being put in hiatus for a bit cuz he has to recode it cuz he goofed up the layout...
 
yaBB is Proboard lol

PHPbb is easier in some levels even though vB is good too.

Kuni, PHPbb is awesome in my opinion, Simple to use and easy to hack
 
i know... i hear he's installing a portal version soon... you cant test tuna fish on the site but soon it willbe a forum as teh index so ill have to remove tha link...

Oh well... I'll stay happy with my own hacked version... ^.^
