Haunted houses

Been to a few already this month! I don't have much of a frame of reference so I can't accurately judge, because I go to the same place every year (they set up a bunch of haunted houses so the themes are always different, but the formula is always the same I guess?), so I always find them a bit boring and underwhelming.

I'll go with my friends but I don't really love them personally - I don't really think they're scary. I'll jump because jumpscares always get me, but it's not very exciting, just a bunch of props and animatronics, sometimes real actors that get up in your face, etc. Again, maybe the ones I go to are just executed poorly though.

Last year and 2 years ago I worked at a haunted house. Last year I was a maze host and 2 years ago I was a scare actor. Haunted houses don't scare me but I do love the costumes.
