Haunter not evolving after trade it

    Hi Everyone!! I want to know how to evolve my haunter into Gengar. I'm currently using the hacked rom 'Pokemon Fire Gold v1.4.1.gba' and My boy as emulator. I've tried to evolve him trading by the link local option, but it doesn't work. Does anyone knows the reason? Or what am I doing wrong?
