Have you ever been to anime conventions?

I haven't gone to one, just because I think it would be really fun to go with friends and none of them have expressed any interest in going to an anime convention ever so... looks like I'm gonna need new friends before I go!! ;)

I was taken to London Film and Comic Con (though it wasn't strictly an anime convention) last year. I should be going to a more local MCM Expo in November though!
It's actually sad about how few conventions there are in the UK (many of which are run by MCM).
