  • I'm not really sure if this count as surgery, google says it's minor so I'll just share this story. So back in my third year of high school I used to take extra lessons outside the school because I was going to enter social science major in uni (I was a natural science student), so one day I went home at 7 PM and I wasn't really feeling good one day. When I passed through a construction site after rain, the dirt mixed with water + my tiredness wasn't a good combination at all and I fell from my motorcycle.

Strangely, I was feeling fine. It's not my first fall, yet this one feels not painful at all. So I quickly checked my bag which has laptop in it (it's fine), the left rear mirror of my motorcycle is detached but that can be fixed I though at that point, but as I was going to continue I feel something was wrong and yes... The skin of my left cheek was ripped open, causing me to call my mother and try to explain to her as calmly as possible to have someone escort me to a hospital.

So I waited calmly drinking a cupped water one kind stranger gave me while standing and conversing with other people about what happened. It doesn't feel hurt at all. Not long after, my uncle came with his motorcycle and rushed me to the nearby hospital. I was laughing while conversing with him in an attempt to calm him down, but my left side of my body couldn't stop shaking for some reason, I don't know if it's because the chilling breeze entering my wound or something like that but I still feel okay.

The realization hits when I was laid upon a hospital bed and I was trying to peek on my school shirt. Sure enough, the shirt collar was totally red as it was soaked in blood, I called my GF to inform her about my condition and soon enough I was wheeled towards the operation room. It was pleasant tbh, just several injection (anesthethics, tetanus vaccine twice, and one other that I forgot.) and the doctor and his assistant was really kind to me, I don't feel anything either during the operation, I had seven stitches on my cheek. I just feel bad for my mother and father who was watching me with worried expression.

So, I went home with my family, eat the cold pasta I was supposed to eat several hours ago and had a deep sleep. I was even feeling great when the next day came, but my mother still told me to take several days of break. And yeah, that's my story of the minor surgery I had.
