4th Gen Headin back to Sinnoh

Is SS and HG really worth the money? I got platinum last year around may and have beaten it and I'm just trying to collect Pokemon now. But if SS doesn't have much to do after beating it I'm not sure if I want it.

You can beat the pokethalon, you can fight red (Seriously hard.) Not to mention the game itself takes a while to beat with its 16 badges and 2 seperate regions

You can even unlock kanto and hoenn starters
 
I'm looking to buy a secondhand Platinum (never bought Diamond, didn't have the time to play it), and once I do, I'll marathon it to the finish. =P
 
Well, honestly I don't think so. In first place I haven't played Soul Silver enough and... If I return to one of the previous games it'll be certainly Emerald, my favourite :b
However, nobody knows the future, and I may change my mind.
 
Well, i took a break from HG (i've the 8 badges) and retake a game of Fire Red to migrate the legends from it. But i've been playing together Diamond (well maybe i use this to make trades), Pearl, Platinum and Heart Gold so i don't need to go back Sinnoh since i haven't left =)
 
i just bought pearl again for the third time. (lost it once, didnt really play it the second time so i sold it)
im having a good time right now with pearl. HG lasted me a while but eh it just wasnt worth keeping because there just is not that much to do after you beat the game imo. thats why i sold it and re-bought pearl version.

Getting bored of HG/SS, I dont want to train for Red. :(
 
I already started a new game on platinum. I'm playing it and SS at the same time. Going back through platinum has reminded me why I love Sinnoh in the first place...though I only have 2 badges since I only play the game like an hour or two a day and sometimes every other day XD.
 
In Pokemon Heart Gold & Soul Silver (Heart Gold for me) My opinon is that once you have completed the MAIN story line which is Johto, Kanto, Elite Four, 16 Badges, Red ect. It get's kind of boring and repetitive, does anyone agree?
 
I am also getting quite bored of HG.
Training of the 2nd team is pain ... I have to pit up my Lv. 37 Hariyama to Lv. 50 Golems. It ALWAYS Selfdesctructs right after I use the Belly Drum - Force Palm combo. You always have Lv. 50-60 trainers and it's just hard. In DPPt. you based yourself on luck and there is also a single team for them all !

That's how every game is, imo. You kill bosses, defeat the Elite Four, then do whatever. The only thing I don't like about SS is that I'm faced with such a long period of grinding to try and defeat Red, and I find level grinding so boring. There are a bunch of little things I don't like either, like how the PC boxes work and how irritating it gets to try and catch the roamers without a map you can constantly watch.

I'd like to get a copy of Diamond at some point in the near future, unless I just decide to migrate all of my keepable Pokémon from Pearl over to Platinum. The only problem is I have next to no storage on Platinum (I'm a terrible pack rat), which is why I still use Pearl. I'd also like to try a few of the challenges around here but would want to start from scratch.
 
I'm certain that I'll be going back to Sinnoh once I finish SoulSilver.

Sinnoh is the only region where I find training enjoyable.
The towns and routes are also fun to run around on.
 
Been planning on returning to Platinum for a month now. HeartGold was fun, but I miss Sinnoh just so much. x_x The only reason I haven't already restarted Platinum is the large amount of items and Pokémon I'll have to move around before I delete the file...Just the thought of it makes me procrastinate, so I'm re-playing through LeafGreen first. -_-

I'm thinking I'll make Platinum my main, with HeartGold being my breeding game. My trainer there has the awesome Trainer ID # 17111, so I like to think every Pokémon from my HG has a special blessing that brings good luck to all~
 
I'm playing through Soul Silver again, but once I'm done with this run, I think I'll restart one of my brother's games - either Pearl or Platinum, and start anew. I'm not going to restart my own Platinum since I have so much data saved in there... Pokemon, battle records, a 493/493 Pokedex, several contest victories, my Pal Pad contacts, etc.

But there's something about the Sinnoh games (especially Platinum) that has me drawn back into wanting to play them again.
