well in r/b/y psychic was super effective on ghost and ghost was neutral to psychic

The reason they undid the SE on bug was because they wanted to make this single type that was so hard to work with, and viola! They chose poison. xD I mean the pokemon themselves are pretty diverse, just they don't get a STAB move that's really worth using due to its lack of coverage and the fact that one of the most common OU types is immune to it (steel).

Here's my waiting list in no particular order:

- ckn
- Painter (scheduled for Friday)
- genetic

so once that list is gone (save Painter) then I'll start accepting random challenges. Two a day.

man its gonna be awesome when HG/SS come out ^^ my teams gonna get such a boost. Super fang crobats, power whip venusaur. Should be a blast

Super Fang Crobat is so ridiculous. xD Honestly, it seems like it'll be broken. I sure hope that Gamefreak knows what they're doing. >.<

I may try out some new ideas for my team. :/ I dunno yet. Possibly get a Bug Bite Scizor. ;D That thing will be so nice. ^^

lol i didnt think bout that... But god, technician =O it would be amazing.

Acctually one thing that really surprised me was water spout on blastoise. Not sure if itll help too much but i could potentially do alot of damage

Psychic wasn't super effective on Ghost, it's just that in Gen.1 all the ghosts were half Poison.

As far as HG/SS goes, the most popular sets will be SpoutToise, DDDaunt, ExSpeedNite, Pain Split Muk, and SuperBat.

o yea i forgot and i think i will take a crack at BugBite scizor

People have tried it, U-turn still is worth it more most of the time.

thought you guys might want to know that my gym team is half way done and i will be working none stop to finish it by tonight

I'm unsure of who you're hearing this from, but it all depends on the set you want to run for Scizor if you ask me. Yes, U-Turn is more worthwhile when it comes to his CBSet as he's able to scout exceptionally well (and lure out a certain pokemon *stares down Zapdos*).

As for a Swords Dance set, you really wouldn't want to put U-Turn on that thing seeing as you'd lose the stat boost if you were to switch out, in which case Bug Bite may be the superior motive.

Plus the fact that it removes berries is a really nice addition to the 135 base power. ;D

Isn't it 180 base power when they are holding a berry because base (60) + technician (30) + berry (30) + Stab (60)??? But you are right about it being a nice option for the SD set.

Does Bug Bite actually increase the base power? I read something on it doubling the base power, although I can't confirm it (only when the enemy is holding a berry).

:/ I looked it up on Serebii as well and it didn't say anything besides the fact that the user of the move gets the berry's effect.

yea and scizor with a 180 base power move frightening U-turn for CB set and on swords dance ill use bugbite

no because it is 60bp so technician works in and gives it 120 then the berry and stab apply making it around 180BP i think

thats not what im saying. Firstly, technician would only give it 90 base power, then stab would give it 135, and finally i dont think the berry adds anything to the power, if it did, it would probably raise it 50% and i think that would cancel out techinician leaveing it with still 135 base dmg

maybe but 135 base power is still great paired with scizors massive attack stat

135 is higher than the 80 of X-Scissor (his other alternative), so it's going to probably be Scizor's main bug STAB move as a replacement to X-Scissor.

bug bite will have 15 more power and will cripple thing's like subpetaya empoleon so it is an obvious choice and what about superfang walrein?
