did the fame checker actually do anything? except re-tell you information about stuff that you'd already heard from other people? :S
i want the sevii islands in, but with a battle fronteir facility on each island, so there'd be 7 facilities, and you can only access the next one once you've beaten the previous one (eg can only access the 2nd facility after gaining the symbol from the first one) kinda like the anime, ish :S
 
I don't think we can stress anymore just how key adding a storyline for Kanto is. Sure, firstly I want it to be confirmed they WILL have Kanto once again in this game, which I think they will. It definatly needs to have more, it felt like just random wandering around battling gym leaders that should probably be tougher. It feels like the badges were earned for nothing. It seems though this game will have a deeper plot, possible bigger Johto map and hopefully more expanded depth for the Kanto Region. Although, no information has been released about Kanto yet has it?

Actually yes, the Fame Checker did do something. It told interesting facts about a certain character. Now, there are people who tell you things about them as well, but the Fame Checker sometimes goes into farther detail with them. So, it is pretty useful for some, while others don't really bother with it. This is just a matter of person preference on who likes it, while to those who don't.

As for the Sevii Islands, it is unknown if it'll be in the game. Though, if they had to put in Frontier Facilities, then I'd rather travel freely among them. The reason why is because I wouldn't want to be stuck on one island, where I cannot beat this one Frontier Brain, and I want to move on to the next. Though, like they had it before in FRLG, they can give us certain tickets for accomplishing something in the game to travel to the next set of islands. That way it gives us the plus of having the Battle Frontier in, Kanto, and multi quests to keep us going through the game. All in all though, we'll just have to wait and see what they do decide on actually implementing after Johto.

I think this is pretty decent as a lot of Pokémon we get through Wi-Fi are never ours, but TRU or something else. They'll definitely not stop events like said, as it beings in income for the company and promotes others to buy the games if they really want that event Pokémon. Not to mention, a Pokémon like Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, and even Shaymin won't be freely given so easily by Game Freak or Nintendo.


If they include the Sevii Islands, then so be it, but it shouldn't remain empty. I thought about it, and since what happened in FRLG is 3 years before Johto, then the plot with Team Rocket on the islands were already completed. So, either it'll be there, but empty, it'll be there with a new plot, or it won't be in at all. Whichever they choose I don't mind, because my main place they should keep together is Johto and Kanto. These two places made the Johto what they are and shouldn't be altered to me.

I agree, Game Freak/Nintendo hadn't been really kind to us...
They remade the GS just for money, not because of the demand that the fans made...
(At least they still made it though anyways....)

We have 2 Breeding Center then!! [=
One on Island 4, one on Route 34. But I doubt it, as I stated Sevii Island's reappearing is low... Due to we have Johto... They made Sevii in Fr/Lg as some features(like Breeding Center, GS Pokemon) needed to be add for some reason. But since we have Johto, I don't see Sevii returning...
 
I hope the sevii isle.s are in. I Also hope that there are additional forms of important lengedaries (return of shadow lugia mostly). Another cool thing would be an event involving the radio channel thats only avalible in the ruins of alph. Also I would like it to have the 1st FULLY working celebi event in America (the one in crystal involves a glitch item and the 3rd and 4th gen as of now require an event where you download the pokemon instead of an event item. I would also like more ruins of alph puzzles.
 
GTS?

Where do you think that the GTS will be located? I'm almost sure that it will be in the game, and I'm sure it will be in Johto. I think the most likely place would be Goldenrod, though it seems like Goldenrod is full enough as it is... What do you think?
 
Hm. I'm not too sure about a GTS. But if it is in the games, then it'll probably be in Goldenrod.
 
why would they get rid of it. when the original metal games were released nintendo was gonna implement a wifi idea by having a little cable that attaches a gameboy to a cell phone allowing wifi access, the wifi corner was gonna be in goldenrod, but they did not use the wifi with cell phones because not many children other than in japan had cell phones
 
I think the GTS should be in Goldenrod. There were so many buildings that weren't even accessible. It doesn't have to look exactly like the old Goldenrod, just a similar layout. Hopefully we can access some of the empty buildings this time. The GTS needs to be in Johto.
 
There's clearly going to be something, most likely in Goldenrod as someone else mentioned. However, I don't know if they'll allow us to access trading with D/P/Pt right away like they did in FR/LG with R/S/E. But I hope HG/SS will have minigames and such as they do with Platinum.

Ruins of Alph

The Ruins of Alph played a minimal role in Gold and Silver and a slightly bigger role in Crystal. Do you think they will have a larger role in HG/SS? Maybe giving us a "Johto Underground?"

Wow, i would love it if they made the Ruins more prominent in the games... that'd also be cool if they made it connected to the underground like you said... and it would make sense.
 
Why wouldn't they just put it in the Pokécom? (PCC) because that was originally it, so it would be the only thing that made sense

Well if they want to use the new Terminal features (I believe they would) it wouldn't really fit there. They'd need a whole building, like the GTS/GTT from DPP.
 
I'd love to see part of the Orange Islands appear. The Sevii Islands was actually one of the reasons I hated FRLG. I agree with poddish, too. We need a real, better Celebi event. Also, better legendary backstories, more event legendaries, and all that. Ooh, and more multiplayer capabilities! Gotta love your friend following you around Johto... I would also just hate to have that thing in FRLG where you can't obtain any Generation III Pokémon without trading! Uggggghhhhhh, no one trades that much! Just have them in the wild!

Goldenrod I betcha. It has to be. The similarities between goldenrod and Jubilife City is so similar that I'm pretty sure that's where the GTS will be located.
