[Typhlosion Hacker :3]

Hello guys..I am Typhlosion Hacker and as the name suggests, I am a starting out pokemon hacker.
I do NU competitive battles for the most part, with a little bit of Ubers and maybe RU in between. Also, I am not new to pokemon forums, as I have been members of them since about I think 4 years ago, when I got into pokemon.

What is up, Typhlosion Hacker! Welcome to PC! :D Your username has the name of a super epic Pokemon so you easily get some brownie points from me, haha.

If it's hacking you're here for, you've come to the absolute best place. Our Emulation board has pretty much everything a Pokemon ROM hacker would need so it's wonderful that you've already delved into that board and made some posts. I sincerely hope you find everything you're looking for. Do wish you lots of luck on learning, though, as I've heard it can be a little difficult at first.. but getting off the ground is the hardest part. Once you've gotten the details down you'll be cruising through everything a lot faster. Good luck getting a team together and hopefully you make a really great game that all will enjoy! Don't give up, either; a lot of hackers that start out give up and are never heard from again, which is honestly a little sad. :(

The Battle Center might be a place worth checking out for you if you're a battler, and from what I've heard NU is the most popular tier over in that board. It's one of my favorite too despite me not battling often - the Pokemon in that tier are really fun to use. Randbats are also quite addicting! Perhaps you'll be interested in checking out our Pokemon Showdown server sometime as well as it's our battling platform of choice and is a pretty active server. A lot of people check in every day and the conversations are pretty much endless over there. The battlers here are always up for some matches. You'll learn plenty about Pokemon during your stay here in general and will find lots of fans who got into the series around when you did as well as we have a very diverse community around these parts!

And oh, great to hear you've got forum experience. I know a place of this size can be confusing for people new to the forum world so joining with experience under your belt (gee.. I make this sound like a job application) makes things much easier. Guessing you've already read the rules and such, so I'll leave you to it.

Hello to you too, Typhlosion Hacker and welcome! I had a Typhlosion as my starter in SoulSilver, and it think its line was the only Johto starter line I liked. I was never fond for Feraligatr or Meganium.

As Cirno stated, the Emulation & ROM Hacking section here is what sets us apart from most Pokemon forums. You'll definitely find everything you need over there, since it's got loads of good hacking tools and resources you can use. And also we have several competitive battlers like you here as well, and like what Cirno said, the Battle Center is where you can discuss all aspects of competitive play and you can also get your teams rated or check out our Pokemon Showdown server, which is easily linked in the section. I'm there as Hikamaru if you decide to pop over sometime. I mainly chat more than battle though, but I do like how addicting Randbats are!

Glad to hear you've been on forums before, so we might not be as scary as most people think at first. But thankfully the staff members here are very helpful and never hesitate to help anyone out. We also have not as many staff as most Pokemon forums which means it's easier to get to know them better. We have a load of members outside of the staff as well who love assisting newbies like you, and I do hope we can get to know each other a bit.
