Hi there! I'm PantsMcAwesome...or Pants...whatever you want to call me. I've been a huge fan of Pokemon since the beginning - especially the card game (though up until recently I haven't had much money to play ;_;, but thankfully that's changed...)

Anyways, it's been a long time since I've visited any Pokemon-related forums, so it'll be nice to get back into an old hobby! :D Look forward to seeing you all around!

Pokemon has been a hobby of mine as well...for a very very long time! Glad to see we're on the same page! Are you collecting cards? I used to but I still have a pack lingering around under my bed. xD Hopefully soon you can collect more in the near future, then you can discuss the TCG in its very own section, located under Alternative Pokemon Discussions. <3

Aside from that, we have so many things to discuss in regards to Pokemon. It all depends on what you're interested in! There's also things to do as well, like trading, battling, roleplaying, ROM hacking, and soooooo muuuuuch mooooore! The staff members here are really friendly, and really helpful, so don't hesitate whatsoever to ask any questions. Even a lot of the members are really helpful too.

Haha awesome name you got there! Welcome to PC PantsMcawesome!

It looks like you've found the TCG section which is awesome. It's a good place for you to start here cause you can discuss everything from the latest rules to current and previous sets. I'm not much of a TCG fan myself but I do collect the cards every now and then. I used to play the game but it just like you said buying and keeping up with new packs can be expensive. Paying 4-5 bucks every few weeks is too much of a hassle for me. So now I usually just buy them when ever a new generation of Pokemon games come out. They always seem to change the style of the card when new games come out and I love seeing how much the cards have changed since the beginning. I'm really liking to new look of the card and the new packets are cool. It seems like now I just collect them for art hehe. Maybe I will get back into soon when the X and Y expansions start rolling in. Anyway, I hope you enjoy posting in the TCG section!

As my good friend Megan (Or Meganium90 ) said there's many places to explore here. We have lots of boards on Pokemon including ones on the games , anime , card games, ROM hacks, and just Pokemon in general. Plus there are other boards for off topic things such as Chit-Chat & Polls. I definitely recommend that section as it's a good way to meet new people here. A lot of here love meeting new users such as yourself and don't mind a friendly chat with others. Feel free to VM me anytime just to talk! There are many helpful users here too so if you ever have any question or like to give feedback on something just drop by Questions & Feedback, the section above this one. As already suggested, you should definitely look over the rules so you don't get banned so early on after joining.

You are forever known as UsernameMcawesome. Because that's the very definition of your username. 8D; Welcome to the forum, Pants! I really, really love your name. Been having a very exhausting day so seeing that made me smile a little, haha.

But pshaw I totally understand what it's like to not have money. I'm doing an internship this summer which has been eating away a good chunk of my time.. and it's unpaid. :( It's terrible (in a good way?) how many awesome merch Pokemon has since you'll need thousands upon thousands of dollars to buy everything. Us Pokemon fans have the worst end of the stick! The TCG does seem pretty expensive especially so I sympathize with you. Glad to hear you're able to buy things now, but be mindful of your wallet. Pokemon will suck you totally dry.

I hope you'll have an amazing time getting back into the forum swing with PC, though, Pants! ♥ We'll help you rekindle your love for Pokemon and hopefully you'll have a very positive experience posting around. It's kept a lot of us addicted to Pokemon and will surely have the same effect on you.
