    I got told to introduce myself so here I am. Gen 1 pokemon fan from the far south (Australia). Favourite pokemon is Flareon but currently have a Bulbasaur sitting on my desk watching me type. Joined the community as I am wanting to learn to write and have opted to start with a pokemon book. Been lots of fun writing the first two chapters and am looking for feedback from pokemon fans.

    It is set in the Gen 1 pokemon world prior to blue/red/ash ketchum. Plays off fan theories and is set after "The War" following two scientists. I also intend to have as many fan theories in as possible. I have been trying to get it to read as a standard book (getting lots of feedback from non-pokemon fans), which has a lot of subtle references and slowly becomes more and more pokemon focused. It is taking a more realistic approach to pokemon including pseudo-science on how they work but this has also resulted in it having a "darker feel" being post war and all. If that sounds of interest to you watch this space as I'll post chapter 1 and 2 up soon after a bit more minor editing.

    So reading your post, I assume you're someone who's into fanficts, writing and that kind of stuff? Maybe you'd love to check out the Fan Fiction & Writing section around here and share your stories with the community, as well as checking out fellow members' fanfics. Aside from that, is there any other sections you plan to visit? Asking because there's so much to this community.

    Flareon is adorable! Best eeveelution for sure. Bulbasaur is also one of my favorite starters next to Chikorita and Chespin, how can one not love the #1 Pokémon in the dex?? Cutie. So hard to evolve it though.
