[Intro] Hello Everyone!

    My name is TheShadow420BlazeIt and I am looking to create some ROM Hacks!

    I played Pokémon Rocket Red Edition, currently playing Hoopa Unbound, and I'm hoping to try Radical Red too.

    I am actually thinking of making a game where the main character is a 17 year old criminal, and the game takes place in the Sevii Islands.

    The plot basically involves the main character being forced by a judge to take on the gym challenge in order to avoid going to jail after getting arrested for breaking into the Pokémon Professor's lab and stealing a Pokémon while smoking weed.

    As he travels the Sevii island, the main character is supposed to commit various crimes which involve doing dirty favors for the Sevii Island Gym Leaders, (they happen to be his bosses clients) and during this, he also has to put up with a maniacal organization called Team Phantom: a sinister group dedicated to summoning and controlling Lugia to dominate the Sevii Islands.

    What tools are used to make ROM Hacks exactly? Need some suggestions as the game will have some mechanics from Radical Red.

    I am looking forward to creating a potentially unique ROM experience!
     
    Hello again Shadow420Blazeit! I remember greeting you a few days ago because your forum name stood out to me lol.

    If you're looking for resources and tutorials for this hack you're planning to make, there should be plenty over at Rom Hacking Help. Also make sure that you ask permission or at least credit the devs of Radical Red before you incorporate anything they've made into your own stuff! Best to ask them about it since I'm not too well versed in rom hack making, but acknowledgements go a long way!

    I've also already mentioned this, but you're free to peruse the official Pokecommunity Discord as we also have pretty active rom hacking channels over there. Also wanna remind you not to make too many Introduction threads, since Meet & Greet should be more about personal introductions and one per person is more than enough :) If you have more questions or concerns, don't hesitate to hit me up directly, or any other mods you meet.

    Hey there TheShadow420BlazeIt, big welcome to PC! I'm not knowledgeable with fan games/creating them but hope you'll figure out whatever you need to get started on making something cool.
