Hi! I'm PuzzledPsyduck and I'm super interested in getting active in your Game Development sub-forum!

I'm not too sure what else to put into an introduction thread.

Why hello, Puzzled friend! If you're too puzzled on what to put in this introduction thread, don't worry, my intro was even shorter than yours when I joined Pokécommunity Forums (we call it PC for short).

Anyway without any lapse I hope you do get active and mention any of your ideas or anything there!

    HI there! Welcome to PC!

It's fine if you're clueless on what to put in your intro, it's not easy. May I suggest you tell us more about yourself? That's one thing you can put. Such as , what got you into Pokemon? How long have you've been a fan. Personally I discovered Pokemon through the anime and it then went off to the games and still today at 21, I'm very much addicted. I mainly play the games, but what about you? Do you just like the games or what about the anime? Or the TCG? Or the manga? Besides Pokemon what else do you like? Writing? Video games? Anime? Music? Don't be shy to tell us, cause that's how you get to know people! The people here are really friendly and helpful so no need to worry. I think you'll be making friends in no time.

You already seem to have found Game Development so I don't need to direct you there. That's a rather popular section here. While not as big as maybe ROM Hacking & Emulation, our most popular board, but it's still very big. The regulars there are helpful and nice so I'm certain , you can become a part of the community there easily. I think you should also look around at other sections on the forum. There's many boards relating to Pokemon you can check but also many off-topic ones that will hopefully relate to your interest. You'll probably need to post URLs at some point in Game Development, which requires 15 post to do, so posting in other sections will give you those posts easily and quickly.

I hope to see you come here often and that you enjoy yourself here. All questions can be directed to a moderator and they can gladly help you out. See you around and have fun!

I was never too good at talking about myself either; it's totally fine. :D Welcome to the forum, Psyduck!

Glad to see you've already found the Game Dev board and I'm sure it'll provide you with everything you need to get started with game-making. There's an entire subforum dedicated to resources to help you out as well as a place for all Pokemon Essentials-related discussion. Of course RPG Maker is also a very big program in Game Development, as well, so whatever you're interested in knowing about will likely be found over there. :) Are you just starting out as a game-maker? A lot of members love that aspect about PC so chances are you'll find others like yourself to discuss this with. Don't ever be scared to contact Maruno, the moderator of Game Development, either! The staff are always happy to help you out if you're lost.

But I totally understand when you say you're unsure of what to put in your introduction thread.. that's why I like to ask questions. When did you get into Pokemon? Is Psyduck your favorite? What game is your favorite? Looking forward to X and Y? I can.. ask a lot more than that but I think I'll leave you to answer these for now, baha. :3 Though you're in no way obliged to answer of course; it'd just help us out in getting to know you. A friendly community like this one's always up for getting to know new members that are now part of it, after all.

Hope you have a great time here, Psyduck! Work your hardest and get your games published for the members.

Oh wow, thank you! I think this is the most encouraging response to a "hello" thread I've ever seen! Usually it's a bunch of "Welcome to the forums"!

My favorite Pokemon are primarily Psyduck, Slowpoke and Dragonite; for some reason I just really like the dopey-looking Pokemon. Then there is also Haunter, who I've considered awesome ever since seeing it the first time in Blue. And Koffing. He just looks like he's always having a blast doing whatever he's doing.

I mostly love Pokemon for the games and watching the anime when I was younger, although I havn't watched it in years.

I'm mostly here because I really like to make games, and working on a Pokemon fan game is a really good way of learning the processes involved; I'm not much of an artist so I can just use the existing art, there are already characters I can work with and the setting is interesting enough that it can support a wide variety of different game types without too much contorting of the world.
