Hey!

I'm Nerdpoe, and I am deciding to not be a hermit and reach out to the Pokémon community to discuss THINGS and STUFF.

My first game was Pokémon Moon, so I'm not a diehard old school fan; I only came into Pokémon fairly recently (comparatively). To be honest, I don't even know what the personality and "he likes to take siestas" or "is alert to noises" stuff means on Pokémon, but I'm sure I can learn! Eventually.

I love annoying teams! I love leveling up Pokémon just so I can put the opponent to sleep and encore and disable them and then defeat them with my bruiser Pokémon.

What was your team in Moon ?
If you also played Ultra Sun / Ultra Moon, did you prefer the original or the Ultra versions ?

Stuff like 'alert to noises' are characteristics Pokemon have when you catch them that give an indication to their IV's.
It kinda becomes useless when you unlock an IV judge function in the games though.

I liked Ultra more, cuz it felt like the story was a bit more fleshed out and the fights were a bit more balanced!

My team varied, but it always had Sylveon, Muk, Gengar, and Incineroar.

Welcome! Hope you enjoy your time here. I love hearing which gen got people into Pokémon. I think the DS and 3DS era was incredible, Sun/Moon are solid games!! Are you still playing the current generation? Have you gone back and played older ones?

I know what you mean about annoying teams, that's great. I usually plan for effective attacks (I'd never make it in competitive play), but I did have a brilliant Froslass that would confuse and burn and she was super annoying to friends I battled. So satisfying!! 😆

What or who made you start playing Pokemon games?

I had gotten a 3DS as a gift, and the only game I had was Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time.

I got tired of playing it over and over, and was looking around at the local small business game store and found a Pokémon Moon cartridge, and decided to give it a go!

Yes! I am currently playing Scarlet, couldn't really focus on Pokémon Legends; Arceus, and have Brilliant Diamond!

I'm very slow to play through games in general though, so I probably won't finish them any time soon, but I'm having fun and I think that's what counts!
