    Greetings, everyone.

So, I'm TicTacToe. I've been enjoying Pokémon games since I was a kid (started with Hoenn, Gen III) and I noticed there was a great amount of solid fan-made work around the Pokémon fan community. That inspired me, and I've got to say that the reason why I'm joining here is because I'm willing to learn lots of things there (especially regarding the graphic artwork department). My main focus though isn't to make a full-length project, not a brand new Pokémon game, just doing a couple of decent small hacks with different purposes and maybe my own Fakédex and such if I get ambitious enough (at least those are my current plans)

I'm looking forward to see what more this community has to offer.

Welcome TicTacToe! You are most certainly in the right place if you're looking to learn about or just generally enjoy fan games. We have many tools and resources, and plenty of ways to expand your game dev knowledge, even if you won't be making a full hack of your own yet.

Best of luck to you! :)

Hello, TicTacToe, and welcome to these forums!
It's always nice to meet fans of the first generations! I can't agree more with you about the fan-made work of Pokémon fans. The arts, the videos, the fanfics, the fan games! I wish you the best of luck with your project!
Which pokémon of Generation III are your favourites ?

Thank you all for the responses so far. So, as a response to all of your questions...

@ReKoil: I definitely have my soft spot for Hoenn. Probably because I grew up with it and I started playing Pokémon since that generation. What makes a hack-rom and a fan-game outstanding can be a pretty subjective matter, but I usually have a preference for those games that dare to try to be unique in a certain way, explore brand new concepts and such.

@Fact Checking Gardevoir: As for my favourite Pokémon from Gen III... It's hard to decide between Metagross and Swampert, actually. I'd say both.
