    A friend of mine was telling me about some of his favorite roms and I decided to give them a try. Right now my main problem is trying to figure out how to "hack" onto roms. Specifically, I'm trying to play the Light Platinum mod, but I have no idea how to start it up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Unfortunately I actually forgot how to patch a ROM for it to work, buuuuut I know somewhere that could teach you how! You should visit the Emulation & ROM Hacking section where one of the sections has a thread where it teaches you how to set up a ROM Hack. There's a specific program where you need to download, but we have that program available for download right from the website. :)

    Hope that helps, and in the meantime, why not check out the rest of the section? We have more ROM hacks for you to test out/play..more than just Light Platinum. We have Snakewood, ShinyGold, Liquid Crystal, and many many more. :D Maybe that might pique your interest in creating your own too. :D

    Hehe Welcome to the forums if your using an emulator you need to go into the settings and find where the save types are listed change it to flash 120k or something

    Hello TheRabbler, welcome to Pokecommunity. It seems you have a big intrest in ROM Hacking, which is a big time thing around here. Lately many new ROM Hacks have been shared around the community, so feel free to play them, or test tgem out that might lead to you creating one of your own. Some basic tools that you will most likely need is Advanced Map and XSE. These are just two programs that are most used when creating pokemon ROM Hacks. You can find full tutorials on how to build or do different things on your ROM Hack, in the Emualtion and ROM Hack section. I hope you have a fun time while your herr.
