Just nabbed my copy of Alpha Sapphire too! Can't wait to start playing. c: How're you enjoying it so far? You can always drop by our Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire board sometime to discuss the game with us if you're interested. Either way it's awesome to meet you and welcome to the forum~

As Sheep said, you should go directly into our Fire Type fan club! I'm sure you meet many other people who also love them! My favorite type is Water, but my favorite Pokémon of all is Arcanine, a Fire type Pokémon!

I plan to get OR/AS for Christmas, and I'm definitely excited to be revisiting my childhood once I get these remakes because I know many others felt the same way. I plan to have Alpha Sapphire as my main version as well, with Omega Ruby as a secondary. But hey, welcome Shadow!
Sheep recommended the Fire-type club over in Pokemon Clubs. The board's resident mod, Wiicked also happens to be the owner of that club so I'm sure he'd be excited to have you around there. I own one of the other clubs in that section (the Fairy-type one) so I can easily tell how fun joining a club can be, especially if it's all about your fave things. Like what Sheep mentioned, joining clubs can be a fun way to make new friends so definitely give it consideration.
She also recommended the Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire board if you want to discuss the new games. Which starter did you end up choosing? Any particular new Mega Evolutions you like? Either way, you'll definitely enjoy whatever PC has to offer in terms of discussion.
