Hello everyone,

Dwynn here! I am a Dutch web / ux designer, front-end developer and online marketeer.

I recently got back into Pokémon and I just purchased a 3DS and Y. I'll probably buy either Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire as well, but I'm not entirely sure which one of the two yet (I played Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald in the past, so that doesn't really make the decision easier to make :P ).

Anyhow, cannot wait to have my new handheld + game(s). ^_^

My bias says to get Alpha Sapphire. ;3 But it doesn't matter too much in the end since version exclusives are easy enough to get through WiFi or moving Pokémon from X/Y.. haha.

Welcome to PC, Dwynn! Glad you're excited to start playing, that's how I feel every time a new main series game comes out. How long have you been away from the franchise? It's pretty great seeing people get back into Pokémon after so many years, gen VI has brought plenty back lately.

Haha - I was leaning towards Alpha Sapphire, too. So... I guess it'll be AS, then! :) Just received my 3DS, but without Y (which will arrive tomorrow, ugh).

I've been away from the franchise since... 2006, I believe. The new Pokémon games since then looked interesting, but I simply couldn't play them since my old DS stopped working and I couldn't be bothered to buy a new one. I recently found my old GBA (and GBC!) again, though, and my old Pokémon games - decided to play them again and actually still thoroughly enjoyed it. Sooo, then I decided to buy a 3DS so I could play again. :)
