[Intro] Hello!

Hey I'm Amari. I'm happy to be joining the Pokecommunity! First off, I want to shoutout my cousin Serenity - who is a mod here - for suggesting I join this place a while back. I know it took me a while to make it here, but I'm a longtime lurker and I finally got the time to join now that I'm out of school for summer break.

I was told this was the best place to come for fangames, romhacks, and Pokemon discussions. I've loved Pokemon for as long as I can remember. My favorite Pokemon are Arceus, Greninja, and - more recently - Kinggambit.

When it comes to the games, I've always been drawn to the Sinnoh region. The rich lore and captivating storyline make it stand out for me! That's why I love gen 4 and their remakes! My favorite Pokemon game is Legends Arceus because its based around Arceus.

I also love Pokemon X and Y and that's where Greninja became my favorite starter. I also love the Kalos region almost as much as I love Sinnoh. I'm also a huge fan of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. I don't have my own copy of Scarlet or Violet yet so I've been sharing gameplay with family.

I'm currently saving up to buy my own and when I do get the money, idk which to buy. Feel free to give me some tips on which game I should get.

Cool to hear you're Serenity's cousin! She's an awesome Moderator to have around here, especially for her deep knowledge of Pokemon battle mechanics!

You heard right about the PC's Fangames & ROM hacks section, it always seems to be busy even when some other areas slow down a little.
Kingambit's a great choice of a Pokemon, and one of my faves from S/V as well!

I have no doubt you will have a great time with us on PokéCommunity. You can find all about fan games and ROM hacks in the dedicated sections, and we have plenty of Pokémon related topics, about the games, the anime, ..., as well as forum games and trivia!

Arceus sure rules (^^) and Greninja and Kingambit are great as well, with their Abilities, stats, and look! I love the Kalos region too! Lumiose City, the Battle Chateau, and other pokémon like Tyrantrum, ... What was your team in X / Y ?

Yeah Serenity suggested that I join last year actually but I didn't have the time or even - at one point - the device to sign on, but I'm here now.

Yeah I'm really enjoying the place so far. It does seem to have everything that I was looking for.

Actually, while Diantha and her Gardevoir are great, they are not the source of my inspiration! That would be a character from an arduous but wonderful fan game called Reborn, a character named Gossip Gardevoir! ^^

Do you stick to a certain type with your starter choice or do you pick them based on design or something else?

It's kinda hard to recommend a game between two versions without knowing the other's preferences tbh. For Scarlet & Violet, aside from version exclusives the only differences are the name of the school and the uniform you have to wear as well as the Pokemon Professor. Pretty negligible tbh. Most people look at the version exclusives to determine which version they get. In my case I just went with the box art legendary and picked Violet because I like Miraidon more than Koraidon.

The way pokémon look like is also my first criteria when I choose them! I have special interest for the reptile looking ones, snakes, lizards, dragons, ...

I only have Miraidon so no, I haven't used both.
I've used Miraidon in some raids and it's pretty strong, but it does depend on the opponent a bit.
