Um, yeah. Hi. *waves*

I'm a 27 year old derp who grew up with pokemon and video games in general, and I've always wanted to make my own pokemon games (no lack of ideas here), but I didn't discover Essentials until recently (I'm actually more of a VX Ace user)

I figured I should sign up here now that I'm almost ready to actually start making my own pokemon game in XP, even though I still have quite a bit of spriting to do (I'm a sucker for custom stuff!).

I'll probably/eventually make a thread for it.

I'll also need to get up to 15 posts asap so I can point out some faulty links in the essentials wiki (leading to a script I really need but can't get), but I'll try not to spam XD

Either way, I looked forward to become a part of the community here!

If you'd like to have help and work with others, go check out our Team Room. Have an idea or a question? Throw one down in the Beginners lounge! Thank you for the welcome! I'm not really into ROM hacking and I doubt I'd be of much use there, but I'll definitely check it out just to see what's there. Might pick up something interesting, who knows!

Wow, your avatar's so amusing! Is that Blaziken I see? It sort of does look like it, haha. I'm very fond of how it's got all those realistic effects added to it; if Pokémon ever comes into existence at some point in future, I could imagine Blaziken's head to look similarly to that.

It's nice to know that you're developing a Pokémon game! Have you come up with any name for it yet? I've tried my hands on game development in the past, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to get into it too much; wound up losing interest after a couple of days. Have tried ROM hacking as well, which I also lost interest in eventually.
