Help in 2 things!

Errr....Guys I need Can anyone tell me how to make cool multicolor backgrounds without using a Banner Maker!That is multicolor means a Background with different shades of the same color or something like that!
(Do you get it)
I have PSP 7 and if i want I can borrow Adobe Photoshop!

So One more thing!Err.. Suppose there is a image with a white background How can I change it so that in that whole pic there is no background and only that image or sprite is there!!(Again do you get it)

Gradients, it's an option in Photoshop 7/8 (Not sure about 6). Um, it's pretty easy to understand. ^^; (Right click on the paint bucket icon to get it)

As for the second one... in Photoshop, just use the magic wand tool to highlight all the white space, then right click and choose "Select Inverse" (or something like that) and it'll highlight everything but the white space. Then you can copy that and paste it into a new file with a transparent background.

Errr..Thanks JKaizer but unfortunately I dont have Phtoshop!Therfore is that option
available in PSP or MS paint(I sont think so) or Irfanview!

Can't say that I know... I've never used PSP and I -know- MSPaint doesn't have it.
