Hey guys, Zygardian here. I've been trying to work out a Gen. 6 team, but I've hit a wall. Any comments and feedback is appreciated. Here's what I do have so far:

Meowstic (MUST BE MALE) Dual Screener
    Ability: Prankster
    EVs: Still working on it
    Items: Light Clay
    Light Screen
    Reflect
    Psyshock/Psychic
    Fake Out/Protect
I do Doubles and Triples a lot, so I thought having a Dual Screener would be a good choice. I chose Meowstic to be unique- I know the easier option would to be to catch a Klefki since their natural Ability is Prankster, and Prankster is Meowstic's Hidden Ability for males only.

Charizard (Mega Evolution Y) Special Sweeper
Ability: Blaze (Drought when Mega Evolved)
    EV's: 252 Special Attack/252 Speed/4 Defence
    Items: Charizardite Y
    Flamethrower
    Air Slash
    Heat Wave
    Solar Beam
Here, I take advantage of Charizard's amazing Special Attack and Speed, as well as Drought, where sunlight can boost its moves. Air Slash, Flamethrower, and Heat Wave are all STAB moves. Again, doing Doubles and Triples, Heat Wave hits all of the opposing Pokemon and does tremendous damage, especially in sunlight. Solar Beam provides coverage, and doesn't require a charge in the sunlight.

    Noivern
    Items: Life Orb
    Ability: Infiltrator
    EVs: 4 Defence / 252 Special Atk / 252 Speed
    Timid Nature
    Draco Meteor / Dragon Pulse
    Hurricane
Flamethrower / Focus Blast / Boomburst
    Roost
Infiltrator can break through the opponent's Barriers, and Noviern has an amazing Speed stat. I normally rely mostly on Dragons, but this may be the only one I use, in addition to maybe one other.

I'm not sure what to use for the last three slots. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :)

For Noivern you could utilize White Herb to restore its stat drop after a Draco Meteor, but if you play doubles just be careful of intimidate because that would essentially take away the White Herb. I also like Flamethrower on Noivern since it will get boosted in the sun from MegaZard Y. If the team is strictly doubles then protect should be used over Roost. However, if not then Roost is still a fine option.

For Meowstic i've always had success with this EV spread in Gen VI. 252 HP/252 Def/4 Sp.def. Bold nature to help its defense.

Alternatively, you could do a specially defensive nature + spread, but regardless Meowstic will want 252 EV's in HP.

Assuming Singles, I think that Klefki makes a better dual screener because of its better defenses:
    -Reflect
    -Light Screen
    -Spikes
    -Foul Play/Dazzling Gleam/Play Rough
    Nature: Calm/Careful
    EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 SDef
    Item: Light Clay
    Ability: Prankster

Flamethrower and Heat Wave are redundant on Charizard Y. Fire Blast is the superior option over either:
    -Fire Blast
    -Solar Beam
    -Focus Blast
    -Dragon Pulse/Roost
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 Def/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Charizardite Y

    or
    -Flare Blitz
    -Fire Blast/Overheat
    -Focus Blast/Brick Break
    -Earthquake/Hidden Power (Ice)
    Nature: Naughty/Naive/Lonely/Naughty
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Charizardite Y

It'd be better to dedicate this team to one battle style. I don't think trying to use it in Singles and Doubles/Triples is a good idea.

So the better moveset for Mega Charizard Y would be: Flamethrower, Air Slash, Solar Beam, Dragon Pulse (or do you gotta wait for PokeBank on that one?)

Also, your team so far will be screwed by special walls/tanks, so you need something for those.

Dragon Pulse is one of Charizard's egg moves, so it's safe. Anyway, Charizard Y can break down special walls with ease as well; see the second set I suggested.

What's it get Dragon Pulse from? And wouldn't Charizard X be a better mixed attacker than Y?

Charizard X is best known for abusing its Tough Claws ability, so it's better off as a physical attacker only.

Charmander gets Dragon Pulse as an egg move from the following:
    -Horsea/Seadra/Kingdra
    -Swablu/Altaria
    -Axew/Fraxure/Haxorus
    -Deino/Zweilous/Hydreigon

Thanks for the help so far, guys. Do you have any ideas on the last few slots for my team?

Let's throw another defensive Pokemon your team. While Mewostic can run screens, its still a bit frail (and if it dies, then you have no more screens). One of my favorite defensive Pokemon is Vaporeon, so I'll give you a set for that:

    -Vaporeon w/Lum Berry
    Nature: Bold/Calm
    Ability: Water Absorb
    EVs: 252 HP, 252 Defense, 4 Sp.Attack/4 Sp.Defense
    Moves: Scald, Toxic, Wish, Protect

This is the one I used in Gen 5 (and I'm waiting to bring it up to Gen 6). Works beautifully. And water's a nice type to have on a team. Vaporeon also covers Charizard's Water weakness and Noivern's Ice weakness. To get Wish on the Eevee, you have to breed it with a Pikachu or Skitty that got Wish as an egg move from breeding with a Togetic. Apparently you can also breed an Eevee with a Smeargle that got Wish from Sketch.

Then you'll need a physical attacker. Maybe your Charizard will go mixed as Platinum suggested, maybe it won't. Either way, having an extra physical attacker won't hurt (and Noivern, Meowstic, Vaporeon, and possibly Charizard are all special based). Plenty of those to choose from.
I think you might wanna use this on your team:

-Zygarde w/Yache Berry or Leftovers or somethin
    Nature: Adamant/Jolly
    Ability:Aura Break
    EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 Sp.Defense
Moves: Dragon Dance, Earthquake, Extreme Speed, Outrage/Stone Edge
I use a Coil set, but I think the Dragon Dance set might work a bit better for your team. Zygarde's not Ubers, so no one should give you flak for that. Although I don't get why it gets smh...

So now you need 1 more Pokemon.

Ah, Zygarde is absolutely amazing and my favourite. If its not in Ubers, then I'm definitely using it!!! And I happen to have a Vaporeon and an Evee, so that can work out. Let's see... I'll need another Phys Pokemon from what you're suggesting about my team mainly being Special. So what do you think about Skarmory or Aurorus being a physical wall?

Skarmory is the better choice. Aurorus is not a physical wall. While adorable, it has one of the worst defensive typings in the game (but on the other hand, one of the best offensive typings in the game), so it can't wall anything worth a crap. It you're gonna use it, it'd probably be better as a bulky special attacker or something. So...

    -Skarmory w/Leftovers
    Nature: Impish
    Ability: Sturdy
    EVs: 252 HP, 252 Defense, 4 Attack
Moves: Brave Bird/Steel Wing, Whirlwind, Roost, Spikes

This is Skarm's standard physical set. Brave Bird is better than Steel Wing in most cases, but Steel Wing has some use now with all the Fairies. You could also put the Defense EVs into Special Defense so it takes special hits better.

So, I think this means your team includes:
    1) Meowstic (screener)
    2) Charizard Y (special/mixed sweeper)
    3) Noivern (special sweeper)
    4) Vaporeon (mixed wall)
    5) Zygarde (physical attacker)
    6) Skarmory (physical/mixed wall)

Uhhhm, this is a doubles team, correct? Secondly, doubles Smogon or doubles VGC? If it's doubles in general, a good portion of No Chance Without Zekrom's suggestions are invalid (no offense, sorry) because firstly, unless you're dealing with something super, super bulky like Cresselia (gen 6's equivalent, anyway), Toxic is almost useless, and field hazards are as well. And Zygarde is banned in VGC. If it's singles, ignore me.

Edit: Looks like you guys are doing this for singles. Still, no point in deleting this if you're gonna retrofit to doubles in the future. /shrug

Ah, in that case, any replacements for Zygarde?

Griffin was just saying that Zygarde is banned in official tournaments like VGC. It's also banned in the Battle Maison. You can still use it in unrated Battle Spot battles and Pokemon Showdown battles.

Yes, but in the case that I do sign up for Rated Battles, what would you recommend?

As a Zygarde replacement, you could go with Garchomp. It has the same typing, and is a physical attacker too.

-Garchomp w/Haban Berry or Yache Berry or Roseli Berry
    Nature: Jolly
    Ability: Rough Skin
    EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Moves: Outrage/Dragon Claw, Swords Dance, Earthquake, Poison Jab/Fire Fang/Stone Edge

    or

-Garchomp w/Choice Band or Choice Scarf
    Nature: Jolly/Adamant
    Ability: Rough Skin
    EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 Sp.Defense
Moves: Outrage/Dragon Claw, Earthquake, Poison Jab/Iron Head, Fire Fang/Stone Edge

    Is that ok?

Yes, that works great. Thanks, Zekrom! And everybody else!
