I have redone my team using a halfway through ruby game after being told that it was not good. Could u all look at my new team and tell me where I can make some more improvements?please. I would be very grateful and please be as harsh as u need to be because I would really like to make a team worthy enough for a competition one day?..

Flygon- crunch, dragon claw, sandstorm, HP fighting @quick claw

Walrein ? ice beam, rest, surf, hail @ chesto berry
[Personality ? Quiet and Ability ? Thick Fat]

Cradlily ? amnesia, giga drain, confuse ray, rest @chesto berry

Groudon ? earthquake, fire blast, bulk up, rest @chesto berry or quick claw
[Personality ? Hasty and Ability ? Drought]

*Cracks fingers*It's been a while since I've done this.....

    Flygon Neutral Personality@Leftovers
    -E-Quake
    -Crunch
    -DragonClaw
    -Flamethrower

Nothing much to say, just a special/physical sweeper.Make sure it has a neutral personality

    Walrein Modest@Chesto Berry
    -Ice beam
    -Surf
    -Rest
-Filler(Whatever move you'd like, I can't think of any other move to use)

    Special sweeper, chestorest when necessary

    Cradily Adamant?@Leftovers
    -Confuse Ray
    -Toxic
    -Return
    -Recover(Egg Move)

Just a typical annoyer, recover and leftovers are for staying in longer.Make sure it really likes you, so return will do good damage.

    Manectric Modest@Leftovers
    -Roar
    -Thunderbolt
    -Thunderwave
    -Filler

    Not much to say here

    Gardevoir Modest@Leftovers/Twistedspoon
    -Calm Mind
    -Psychic
    -Thunderbolt
    -Will-o'-Wisp

    Typical moveset for Gardevoir

    Groudon Neutral Personality@Leftovers
    -Earthquake
    -Solarbeam
    -Eruption
    -Brick break

    Again, just a sweeper

Sorry if this wasn't much help, but it has been a long time since I've done this kind of thing

Just the title of this topic makes me happy ^_^

Flygon- crunch, dragon claw, sandstorm, HP fighting @quick claw
    [Personality- Mild and Ability ?Levitate]

    Flygon- adamant/modest @ leftovers
    -rest
    -HP fighting/dragonclaw
    -earthquake/crunch
    -flamethrower

    (moveset on left)
Flygon is always at a disadvantage due to lack of brick break and dragon dance in comparison to all the other dragons... and it's not like it rids itself of its terrible x4 ice weakness either. You may want to replicate this same moveset on a Salamence, with brick break instead of HP Fighting and/or dragon dance instead of flamethrower. Flygon does have more defensive power compare to Salamence, but hey it's not like that few extra points of defense will save you from ice beam.
    (moveset on right)
Flygon as a special attacker! Should be very self explanatory... (remember use modest for the right side moveset). However once again, Flygon isn't the hottest in this category either... poor thing needs dragon dance!

EV Distrubution (left moveset): HP, Attack, Speed
EV Distrubution (right moveset): HP, SpAttack, Speed

Walrein ? ice beam, rest, surf, hail @ chesto berry
[Personality ? Quiet and Ability ? Thick Fat]

Walrein 2- quiet(boost SpAttack)/brave (boost Attack)/modest (for pure SpAttacker Walrein)
    -rest
-2 of the following: body slam/earthquake/rock slide/surf/ice beam
    -yawn/encore

Movesets for this guy is endless! Great choice ^_^.
Yawn is a great pseudo-pseudohazer. They either switch away, or feel the wrath of pseudo-spore! Blast away if they refuse to switch. Encore if used right can cause unimaginable pain to the opponent, such as wasting their turns using thunder waves, or forcing them to use calm mind while you are body slamming away. In the right time, you maybe stopping them from using rest to score the KO as well.
Walrein's stats are capable of supporting both special and physical attacks. You can take only special or only physical, or even one of each to surprise Blisseys (Blissey can only block so much).

    Note: do not do this:
    Walrein- adamant/brave @ leftovers
    -rest
    -curse
    -yawn
    -(physical move)
Though it seems powerful to force sleep, then curse away and finally sweep, it's way too lengthy of a setup. Plus it forces you to take one physical move only, which usually means either earthquake or return to most players mine... now does that ring Shedinja to our ears? Using curse is fine, but if you're cursing don't use yawn or encore along with it.

EV distrubution: Err... hard to decide... i'll get to you again on this one later

Cradlily ? amnesia, giga drain, confuse ray, rest @chesto berry
    [Personality ? Quiet]

errr... completely useless ******* without baton passer's help... since this team doesn't have one, i strongly recommand replacing. Also grass type is one of the worst types out there (weak to too many types) so reconsider... (if you're using a grass type, better have some special plans/reasons behind it)

Manetric ? attract, thunder wave, thunderbolt, roar @ leftovers
[Personality ? Modest and Ability ? Static]

Looks good... may want to use as starter to pull off paralyze, but take into consideration that most people realize that electric types usually start the battle (they may do some special things to counter off common electric starters). A possibility is crunch over attract. Also take a look at your attachment items... ******* that are not meant to stay in battle for long, or anyone that has high speed and super low tanking power like Manectric should have lum berries to block off paralyze (if they lose their speed, they pretty much die)

EV distrubution: beyond doubt- max speed and max sp.att

Gardevoir ? calm mind, psychic, imprison, double team @ leftovers
[Personality ? Modest and Ability ? Synchronize]

Gardevoir- modest @ lum berry/leftovers/chesto berry
    -psychic
-2 of the following: rest (stick with leftovers or chesto berry then), calm mind, will o wisp
    -thunderbolt/HP ???

Gardevoir's attack of psychic and thunderbolt is pretty much common sense to everyone. So they'll pull out counters to these two elements immediately so you have to beware of that (unlike Alakazam who is more flexible in elemental varieties... Gardevoir is stuck with thunderbolt/psychic). You can use a HP (special attack type) to add some surprises and variety to it. Will o wisp will greatly. The other 3 attacks are great supportive attacks that will make Gardevoir a lot more dangerous, irritating and more staying power. Do not rest against physical attackers at all cost... however feel free to rest up a bit against special attackers (if they didn't calm mind, or calm minded lesser than you)

Groudon ? earthquake, fire blast, bulk up, rest @chesto berry or quick claw
[Personality ? Hasty and Ability ? Drought]

Before we even speak about this... anyone who suggests "Solarbeam+Flamethrower for Sunny Day abuse, smashing the water types to pieces Muwhaha" should be beheaded and shipped off to Mt.Pyre... if you seriously thinks that setup will work, feel the wrath of ice beam for your poor Groudon...

    Groudon- adamant @ leftovers
    -earthquake
    -rest
    -bulk up
-overheat/something physical (return, brick break and etc)

The first 3 moves should be very obvious... the only explanation needed is overheat. Overheat even suffering adamant, will score KOs with help from Drough. Use it only if you're sure to score KOs (it's the surprises of overheat that kills... if the opponents see you using it even once, then they'll know what to expect and know when to switch out in advance). Also it serves as a great Skarmory killer.

    Well what about
Medichamp - rest, bulk up, calm mind, baton pass@chesto berry
    [Personality -careful and Ability-pure power]

Claydol - cosmo power, rest, ice beam, double team@chesto berry
    [Personality -bold and Ability- levitate]

I don't use claydol that much.I saw this move set and figured i would try it.

Also what does soul dew do ?????????
And does it only work on latios/latias

    Medicham Adamant@Choice Band/Leftovers
    HP-Rock
    Hi Jump Kick
    Shadow Ball
    Bulk Up/Return

    Physical Sweeper

    Claydol Adamant@Leftovers
    Cosmic Power
    Toxic
    Explosion
    Earthquake

Not too sure about this one

at first i had medichamp as a attacher but after looking at his personality i decided i would make him a baton passer
And as for Claydol whats the point of having toxic without being able to trap the opponent pokemon [mean look]and cure yourself with moves like rest....................but then again he has such high defenses + cosmic power should make him last.I liked the ice beam because nothing resists it and i love the move :classic:

Well, its your choice, but I see medicham mainly as an attacker

He does make a good attacker but i wanted a baton passer and i was already raising him when i saw this move set using him as a passer so i tried it out and so far it has worked. :D
Also what is net play and where does it occur[sorry for straying u could also direct me as to where on this site i can get more info]
How about Skarmory -toxic/steel wing, rest, spikes, roar
    [Personality-impish]

Glalie[spelling??]-crunch, ice beam, hail, light screen
    [Personality-modest]

i know they are common forms - so can anyone recommend any others
And i gave this move set to some one on this forum and i would like someone to comment on it
Rayquaza [Personality - Adament]- dragon dance
    extremespeed/HP ice
    rest
    earthquake/brick break or HP fighting

Medicham is a FAMOUS baton passer, as it can learn both calm mind and bulk up (making it very flexible as a passer). Plus it's one of the few baton passers who can defend themselves unlike Ninjask. As for Claydol, it just stand there and blow up later.

    Medicham- adamant/jolly @ leftovers
    -bulk up/psych up
    -baton pass
    -recover
    -hi jump kick

Personally i prefer bulk up/hi jump kick over calm mind/psychic even though both combos get STAB, but there's Pure Power supporting hi jump kick, plus fighting attacks are always handy as they're effective against many Pokemon especially Regice, Blissey, Umbreon and Snorlax. Adamant gives you more attack power but jolly gives your more speed to increase the success rate of baton pass.

All Medicham should have recover (just like more other Pokemon with healing moves like it)... keep that in mind.

    Claydol- bold/calm @ leftovers
    -cosmic power
    -rest
    -2 of the following: rapid spin/explosion/sandstorm/secret power/double team/toxic

Claydol should NEVER have any attack power. It's a pure defensive monster. As long as the pseudohazer is dead, this guy is near invincible (unless the opponent buffs themselves as well). Cosmic power and rest are pretty much stapled on this guy. Rapid Spin can rid the deadly spike and leech seed, plus high PP so it makes sure that you won't struggle ever. Explosion is always a good last minute attack. Sandstorm for Shedinja-maul plus over-time damage which is good for tankers like Claydol. Double Team may make your Claydol more evil than before (plus making it pseudohaze-invincible, as pseudohaze is affected by accuracy). Secretpower isn't really for attacking, but you can use it as cheap-body slam to paralyze. Toxic is another one of those famous staller's attack move as well.

Don't ever expect damages coming out from Claydol except Explosion. Psychic, Ice Beam and all those chuck can't hurt anything. Very unfortunately, Claydol don't have mean look (save that for my favorite Dusclops ;p)

I actually like dusclops to claydol so the move set i posted above was more for fun than to use in play.. :P
I like dusclops for PP wear down and then a faint ,double team + mean look +curse + confuse ray.....or whatever u like

aaah. Dusclops... the evil one eyed bugger... I love (when using him) and hate (when fighting him) Dusclops...

    Dusclops- bold/calm @ leftovers
    -mean look
    -double team
    -rest
    -curse

can't get any more evil than that... hehe as long as their pseudohazer is dead (or if they didn't switch out their pseudohazer immediately and one of their Pokemon gets trapped), then their whole team is pretty much doomed by curse. Heh curse is so good on this little bugger.

I have actually done some arranging etc with my team and i have dropped Groudon, Manetric and Cradily. In there place i have added -
Skarmory - rest, spikes, roar, toxic @chesto berry or leftovers
    [Personality - Impish]
Slaking - hyper beam, yawn/attract, rest, fire blast@chesto berry
    [Personality - Brave]
Medicham - baton pass, bulk up, brick break, recover
    [Personality - adamant]

On Gardevoir i added thunderbolt and rest in place of imprison and double team.Sometimes i switch skarmory with Cradily.I can't decide what i should put on slaking so i added fire blast cuz i dropped groudon and i added hyper beam because it has great attack. On flygon i put earthquake, crunch, dragon claw, rest @chesto berry

Adamant is a better choice for Slaking (with or without that bonus, skarmory still dies from Fire Blast anyway). Slaking is actually very speedy naturally so let's not waste the speed. Earthquake or shadowball, something physically powerful instead of attract or yawn... you won't last as long as you imagine due to rest lasting 3 turns instead of just 2 (as chesto rest only works once.) Hyperbeam is a great choice and it's a stabled move on Slaking. If you want to be risky, put on choice band to hyper beam abuse... but be sure to kill the ghosts first.

Skarmory looks fine... but most standard skarmory uses leftovers but chesto seems fine.

As for Medicham, hi jump kick over brick break. It's a LOT higher attack power (well ignore the crash), yet its' accuracy it's not that bad either... it's acceptible to use. Plus brick break is such a valuable tm that it's best to save it for someone else.

Hmm... personally i'm not thrilled to see Flygon with both special and physical attacks as stats don't support that too well... plus it's a lot harder to pick a personality if you want both attack stats for me... but if it works for you i'm fine with it.

Actually Flygon is not as useful as i first thought...so i will drop him but i have no clue for what..... :\ :\ :\ .I will have to get back to that;i anyone has a suggestion i would gladly accept it.

    I have also raised a
shedinja[adament]-shadow ball, spite, confuse ray, screech
ninjask[adament]- slash, sword dance, double team, baton pass
metagross[brave]- meteor mash, rest, iron defense, psychic@chesto berry
rayquaza[adament]- brick break, rest, dragon dance, extremespeed@chesto berry
