    I have seen a lot of members talking about how PC is dying. Well, all they have been doing is talking, not doing anything to help. We need to stand up, and as a group, make PC better. In this club, we can all talk about ideas to improve PC. The more members we have, the more we will all understand eachother, and together improve the forum we all love.

    i dont think PC is actually dying....

    as many know there is a period during where pokemon starts to dwindle this is in between times of the next generation of pokemon....

    when a new pokemon game comes out there is a short while were pokemon picks up speed and once a new generation of pokemon in a game comes out it is usually long term.

    I think that maybe more members are going to smaller forums due to I get alot of people who thinks PC is overly modded and has to many rules (well it is worse at Serebii's Forum no offence Joe, I was just so scared to post the first few times because I heard if you did one little thing that broke the rule you were banned).

    All forums after awhile get this feedback. Why, because every few years some major site closes so new sites come up to be the best and during that transaction a new forum is created for the new group of mega sites.

    That is why I am moving out really of the pokemon sites area, because right now it is during that period where Pokemon seems to get less popular only until new Pokemon come out.

    This is why you only see Pokemon sites (usually) alive for a few years before the owner usually gets bored of it so they either A. Do a Gaming or Media Site or B. Just leave the scene, however this not usually the case although I see this happen more often when people age (turning 18 or 19 is usually the end of a webby of a Pokemon site with the exceptions of rare cases).

    All I know is that I don't want to see PC die so I will help, because without Pokemon Sites like Serebii or Bulbagarden or my all time favorite PokeMasters I dont think I would of ever got into Pokemon enough to make a site so I owe the Webbys like Kevin a Joe a thank you!

    And man is this big for just a "i wanna join this club speech" XD

    Does anyone know how to make some banners to advertise our club? It would be much appreciated! ^_^
     
    I'm not bashing this club or whatever, but PC has already died. Silent Tatt made it real obvious to everyone. Whatever you try to do will make no difference. Look at Serebii, they have less members and they are way more active.

    My 2 cents if you have 3.

    For the record, we prune weekly...about 600 are pruned each week and we get about 800 new members a week. A Net Gain of 200

    So its not a smaller amount of members, its like 4,000+ ACTIVE Members whereas PC has 5,000+ members with (and I checked) about 3,000 totally inactive ones who have been inactive for at LEAST a month

    You need to do something to attract people so that they dont leave

    Interesting details, but it won't bother me much.
    PC does have things that SPPf don't have, and if I have the chance and ability to go all out, I'm sure PC can become a haven for the average Pokemon fan. For now, I'm trying to keep the place active with my activity whenever possible. It's the members that count, not the numbers, btw.
    What I like most about this forum is that it has members who like Pokemon, and can also talk about other interests in life freely here. Moderators are friendly and any member can talk to them. The people are too. People can just go crazy if they live and breathe in Pokemon way too much.
     
    Hi could I join please ?

    Just a thought for how to improve the Clubs section , perhaps there should be a club registration thread. So instead of people randomly making clubs that would might end up being closed anyway they would have to be approved by a Mod before they could be made ?

    Just a thought. Now that I'm more able to be around here I'm gonna try and post more often to keep the place active.

    Also maybe we should have a member drive ? Ya know , try to get memembers who have friends that like Pokemon to try to get them to join up .... if ya see what I mean ^^;

    Mistys_Brother, That does seem like a good idea with the registration, that would make PC better than just having closed threads!
    I have something to point out; maybe PC is dying because of our members. Some members I haven't even met, but they are just like me. Also, now it seems like we are being pushed by a force that crushes us. We're not having any fun. If everyone invited a friend to join PC, or we all got to know eachother a lot better, I know I would want to come to PC everyday, and know that my friends will be there to talk with me. Does anyone else agree with that?

    this is true look at your site Joe I mean a Pokemon Fan that has access to the internet if not in every case has been to your site. It is that big

    PC I think cannot be salvuaged. It has been getting a worse rep more and more. And look at the group of people leaving each day. How long is it to this place dies?

    They say you cant stay number 1 forever and maybe it's time to pass the torch to a new forum?

    Hey, Pokemon_Veteran, do you mind if I made you co owner? I can tell that you'd make a great one! And your really active on PC, so I don't have to worry about the club when I'm gone.
     
    I agree with what you said earlier AM4E , if more of the people here knew each other then it'd give them more reason to be active. I was only inactive because of my College Work and now I hardly speak to the two people I do know here.

    I'd be glad to help out anyway I can though ^_^
