hello everybody, trying to help a friend identify a card he has found in his old stuff. as its japanese and no one of us was ever really into pokemon cards, we thought it could be a good idea to find some kind of forum with people that could help us.

So, it's a 1st Edition Reshiram from the Japanese EX Battle Boost set. The Japanese EX Battle Boost set was one of the sets that The Pokemon Company merged together to create the English Legendary Treasures set.

If I had to throw out a number, it's probably worth about... $5 to $7 as a 1st edition Japanese card. Newer Japanese cards pretty rarely get sold in English-speaking online markets like eBay because the people who are bringing them over are typically longer-term collectors with the means to import them.
