[Map] Help with Map event tiles (Pokémon Ruby)

    Does anyone use the Advanced map Tool for gen III (Pokémon Ruby)

    I need a little bit of help with a moment at the beginning of the game (Ruby) where Prof. Birch is being attacked by the Poochyena. So allz i did was lengthen route 101 so its no longer just a stones throw away from the next town. now in Advmap theres an events tab, clicking on that shows any NPC events or the like that are on said map that you can or be forced to interact with.

    So i moved the event triggers to the new start of the trail roughly like how it was on the original route 101. and when i go ingame to test it out the first trigger where the prof. is calling for help fires fine but he isn't being chased by the Poochyena he's just cornered by it and they do there little dance er whatever, and after i select the pokemon and beat the Poochyena my character and the Prof. dissapear i'm assuming they're at there ORIGINAL positions instead of where i set the event nodes. how do i fix this?

    I would add a screenshot or two but i don't know how... :/
     
    Thank you, but i don't want to create my own scripts i just want to manipulate the scripts that are already there, so as to move that whole scene with birch and the poochyena from one part of the Same map area to another part of the same map area. un changed. like where/how do i find THAT Script. that tutorial just tells me how to create my own scripts. it doesn't tell me how to Move scripts so they fire in a new location on the same map area.

    In some cases, like this one apparantly, just moving a script from one place to another on the map doesn't work correctly because of how the script is set-up. In that case you will need to edit the script to your liking to make it actually work on your specific map. To do that, you need to have at least basic knowledge on how to write a script/how to read a script. To learn that, the best way is to take a tutorial like Asith already mentioned.     You have to copy the offset shown in the A-Map after pressing the player event (In your case,Select Birch sprite in the event option in A-Map) then copy the Script Offset,Open your rom in XSE and Paste the offset then edit the positions to your actual position.You're all set.
