I completely changed my old team to this new one. Hopefully, this one will work better.
Ambipom @ Life Orb
Jolly (+Speed, -Special Attack)
Technician
252 Atk/252 Speed/4 HP
-Taunt
-Fake Out
-Pursuit
-Brick Break
Fake out the first turn for flinching. Then taunt, so that stealth rock or other entry hazards, or stat boosters cannot be placed. Brick Break is to mess up screeners. Pursuit is when I predict a switch and for leads that don't get affected by Fake Out.
Starmie @ Choice Specs
Timid (+Speed, - Attack)
Natural Cure
252 Special Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
-Thunderbolt
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Rapid Spin
Starmie's my Rapid Spinner and Special sweeper, and can switch in to a status, because of its ability, the status will go out after a switch, which might happen because of Specs too.
Tangrowth @ Wide Lens
Impish (+ Defense, - Special Attack)
Chlorophyll
228 Defense, 252 HP, 28 Attack
-Power Whip
-Sleep Powder
-Earthquake
-Swords Dance
Tangrowth makes a good Physical Wall. First it puts the opponent to sleep, mostly forcing a switch. On that turn, it can take a free Swords Dance, to get an attack boost. Power Whip and Sleep Powder's accuracy is raised by Wide Lens.
Machamp @ Choice Band
Adamant (+Attack, -Special Attack)
No Guard
252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 Defense
-Dynamic Punch
-Stone Edge
-Close Combat
-Ice Punch
Machamp is my Physical sweeper. With its ability, Dynamic Punch and Stone Edge always hit. Close Combat for reliable STAB. Dynamic Punch always confuses, which could be used to my advantage. Ice Punch is just filler.
Arcanine @ Choice Scarf
Timid (+Speed, -Attack)
Flash Fire
252 Special Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP
-Flamethrower
-Dragon Pulse
-ExtremeSpeed
-Roar
Arcanine is my favorite Pokemon. Special Arcanine might not be the most common one, so it might surprise a few opponents. Flamethrower is there for STAB. Dragon Pulse hits Dragons who take less damage from Fire Attacks, and Extremespeed is to kill off Pokemon that just have a little HP left, and is a priority move. It can roar away Pokemon that were setting up, or are proving to be difficult for Arcanine to handle. It can also switch into a fire attack that might be aimed at Regice or Tangrowth, and get a boost.
Regice @ Leftovers
Bold (+Defense, -Attack)
Clear Body
252 HP, 252 Defense, 4 Special Defense
-Rest
-Sleep Talk
-Charge Beam
-Ice Beam
Regice is my Special Wall, but it can wall physical and special attacks well with the EV spread. Its special defense is already pretty high, so it doesn't need that many EVs in it. A standard BoltBeam combo. Here Charge beam raises Special Attack (70% chance) and then Ice Beam can have more power. Rest and Sleep Talk to heal.
So...what do you think of this team?
