Hi all, Just re-picked up my soulsilver from 2010 in the past few months and have played through Pokemon white and now looking forward to getting a 3DS and Y and the new remakes when they're out. Hope to find some useful info here and maybe in the future some trades!

So, how's all your games so far? Black & White had a very epic story if not the most epic of a Pokemon game, plus given I'm a huge 5th Gen fan it's no wonder I enjoyed it. Heart Gold & Soul Silver are pretty beautiful remakes that have the nice balance of updated mechanics of 4th Gen with the nostalgia elements. I surely hope you can get your 3DS and catch up with 6th Gen soon, especially with Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire not that long away now. Given you mentioned you want to do trading I'd recommend the Trade Corner section which you should definitely visit and once you get into 6th Gen hopefully you can settle in with our friendly traders.

Yep loved the white story and new pokemon animations although I thought the gyms were a bit easy compared to previous versions as all the fights generally only were 3 pokemon each time, was half tempted to get white 2 but the lack of poketransfer meant id have to just trade and I couldnt stomach that for 400 odd pokemon (was bad enough doing the stupid mini game from soulsilver to white when I only had 150 ish!). Soulsilver was great due to having the pokemon follow you (reminded me of yellow) and was just huge. Definitely looking forward to signing up to the pokebank when i get a 3DS but for now am just catching and breeding my zoo of pokemon to increase my dex ready for moving to Y.
