"Hey come look at this!" "That ain't cool, dude." "Oh..."

I kept telling my friend about this anime I was watching, and I tried to get her interested by telling her that it has gore and the like, but I failed because she thinks animes (besides Miyazaki films, she loves those) are dumb :/
The hilarious thing though is that a few months later, she walked into class and said, "Oh, I watched that anime you told me about because I was bored. It's so sad, but I wish it had more episodes." It was an exciting, yet facepalm moment.

Sure, but that's life. They're my interests for a reason. I've never been put down for my hobbies/etc but that's largely because I learned early on you can't take yourself too seriously. The fact that I make money with mine kinda curbs snotty comments too.

Yeah, it happens to me all the time. I have interest in something and show it to my friends and they're like "..."

It really really annoys me, because I feel like they're being incredibly rude. They often show me things they like and even if I'm not interested, I do them the courtesy of pretending to be because I can tell that this is something that's important to them. Then when it comes to my turn I get nothing...

I live in an area where I feel kind of out of place among peers because I don't like anime. This thread, what.

There's this little group of anime nerds who dress in neko hats and wander around, even.

Its that normal for a friend to react like that?

Anyway, yes i have, my best friend thinks i am crazy and insane because i am into Anime but we just both laugh it of mainly, it doesnt hurt my feeling or anything because she has her own opinion.
